WHY IS EVE ONLINE LOSING SETTINGS IN CASE OF CRASH WHILE GAME IS RUNNING???
There is no good reason behind why settings have to get foobared once that happens - and it happens often enough due to stupid windows 10 bugs resulting in OS deadlock.
It is really tiring… especially when it happens on ALL clients.
Seems to me it’s Microsoft you should be complaining to, not CCP.

And I can complain about them losing data.
Except that loss of data was pretty much solved by databases and similar techniques could be employed here.
In this context it means “disappeared, lost”.
