Shared Personal Hangers

With many of us having multiple accounts and multiple alts it would really be helpful if we could create shared ‘personal hanger’ access.

And before anyone states but we have contracts/trading Trading characters are definately not always in the same station in fact they very often not even in the same region.

Contracting, sure but I want to share many things, like ships, ammo stores, modual stores etc and people may have many 1000s of these. Trying to creating a contract quickly out of all this is very difficult, and impossible if they are in containers.

So creating a shared personal hanger would be great. I guess very much the same as corp hangers are now

Rightclick → deliver is how I share items between my alts. Much quicker than trading or contracts.

What! did you read the other scenarios? also you cant deliver anything when your not in the same station as the item… Please think before posting…

I do think it requires you to be in a player structure though to deliver between characters, as I don’t think this option exists in NPC stations.

If you do have your items in structures it’s a very convenient way to share.

You have to be in the same station as your items to deliver, thats not the point of the request.

The issue is that corp hangars belong to the corp, and assets inside to that same corp.
Shared hangars would belong to… ? Remember that everything must belong to something, and everything in hangars must belong to the same owner.

Shared hangers belong to you personally - with that ability to give people access via ACL just like you do with shared folders

It’s not a bad idea - especially considering it’s next to impossible to rent an office in many NPC stations. I mean, I’d certainly exploit the ▣▣▣▣ out of it.

Would renting an office allow players to have shared hangars?

(I never rented offices)

No, renting office only works within corporation.

The issue is that asset sharing is tied to the corporation in Eve.

I guess a shared corporation for the alts could be a solution then if a shared hangar is required?

you can only belong to one corporation.

this is a feature i would support to 100% !

i know its actualy possible right now but only under realy specific circumstances → you and your alts are all in your own altcorp ! but this is a bad way to handle this …

easy to get if you have all your accounts on the same e-mail adress !

no, access with other ppl sounds like a bad idea … i would support this for only personal access !

So, you want to be able to share items between multiple characters, even if those characters are in different stations or even regions? Not only no, but hell no. What’s to stop someone from using this to instantly transport goods from a different region straight to an alt in Jita?

this should only work on the same station ! everything else leads into massive abuse !

I already suggested similar feature in QoL thread long time ago.

What you suggest is needlessly complicated to implement.

All we really need is an ability to move items into “Corporation deliveries”. We can get the items there via contract which we accept for corp anyway and it costs just 10000 ISK so why not allow us to move the items there directly?

if the alts are not in corp, they can’t accept it…
