What ship to use, and what fit for blood raiders combat sites?
I scanned a Blood Raider Temple in null sec. First room went ok with a VNI, then in the second room I immediately lost the VNI and a Myrmidon later - I tried to get my wreck back, also I thought it will be able to tank.
Both ships had active armor tank and used an afterburner for transversal, but I got scrammed, neuted and webbed.
It was a site I scanned not an anomaly, it was not a DED rated because the message I got did not say anything about that.
In the second room there were towers that webbed me, frigates that scrammed, and others that neuted. I was out of capacitor, and dead before I could kill the frigates. If there wasn’t any neuts I believe the Myrmidon could have tanked.
i think most minmatar ships are naturally em tanked so they could work
confessor is good for sites up to level 5 but a bit too slow for level 5 and you need to warp out a few times
if there are neuts you can fit a cap booster
The rats don’t scram here, they only point( so a mjd would help you)
T2 only.
T2 resists are increased against their opposed faction, so amarr T2 are tanked vs explo/kine, gal T2 vs kine/therm, etc.
Then, armor is best against blood because natural armor em/thermal resist.
So an armor fitted T2 matar should be the best. a muning has 90/68 em/therm base armor, you may not even need a hardener. Just get a large cap battery and a medium armor rep.

The cap battery reduces the neut you take, also the nuclear reactor sub gives you 3-15% neut reduction, with the cap battery that makes 27.25-36.25%.
Now dont forget you can turn the mwd off to get a bit more of cap recharge.
On the fit I gave you, with mwd off I can tank 30.4 GJ/s neut with sub skill I

I guess with a thukker you can tank more, also you can add a cap rig to hold more.
basically the cap excess you need to reach is 20 * nb_turrets/(1-0.03 * matar_core_sub)*0.72^(thukkers)*0.73^(factions)*0.75^(T2+storyline)*0.78^(meta)
eg vs 3 turrets, with minmatar core subsystems IV, fitting 1 thukker and 2 T2 cap battery (whatever the size), you need 2030.880.720.75² = 21.4 GJ/s excess.
But it’s absolutely vomit inducingly hideous. The missile one is sexy af.
Not sure what site you died on but back when I used to live in Genesis I would use a Machariel. For smaller sites I’d use a strat or loki. Be careful though, some of the blood raiders sites are straight-up traps and not worth doing, so always do the google.
