I’m about to move in a C1 wormhole, and I would to take a ship capable of killing the sleepers guarding the Mining anomalies, but I would like it capable of doing the combat anomalies too. A plus would be that the ship can repair itself (with the modules) during the fight.
Will a Hurricane do the work ?

The imporant thing to consider is that Sleeper in combat anomalies neut, so fit for capacitor if you want active tank, or fit for passive tank (shield regeneration).
Hurricane and cyclone can be used with active tank. I prefer a myrmidon with passive shield regen though.
I thinked it’s a bad idea to use drone ships against Sleepers, because the NPC will focus them and destroy them with not too much troubles. I still liked the playstyle of the Argos, and tried a bit Vexor, maybe Myrmidon would be a funny thing.
Otherwise, the fact that Sleepers neut our ship can make the fitting tricky for a beginner =/
Do you have any fits for an active tank on Hurricane, please ?
For C1 a Svipul or even Wolf is completely sufficient if you go for passiv shield tank.

Sleepers do focus on small and medium drones on a C1, not so much in Geckos though. That is why I used myrmidon. They will kill your geckos on C2 and up though.
Geckos are the mini-fighters, right ?
Must cost a lot.
A t1 cruiser would be enough to clear the mining anomalies and a battlecruiser will be fine in the sleeper anomalies.
I think a Moa will be fine in a c1.
In this case I recommend Stabber Fleet Issue or Scythe Fleet Issue. You are much more agile with those than a BC and this harder to catch if you are on your toes.

9 minutes of boosting but you can get stable tank swapping a tracking enhancer with a Capacitor Flux Coil. the other option is to go armor tank but shield gets higher DPS (in theory because its artilleries).
as for the T2 dilemma. you can always use a Navy or Pirate frigate. T1 can do it too. would have to check Osmium but im pretty sure a T2 fitted Breacher can get the job done.

and the Rifter can go to whatever you want (Osmium isnt updated to the last changes to the hull). i chose the slasher because of the low sig, higher agility and utility high. but the Rifter can do the same just by swapping to probing with the mobile depot.
the big dangers of running C1 sites outside of other players are the sentries (big alpha from up to 200 km if you dont move quick) and the structures (you can easily bump the ship when orbiting near certain structures). doesnt help that long range weapons have it hard against sleeper drones (they move too fast for such a low tracking while keeping low transversal means getting hard shots from the NPCs)
the key to mastering C1 farming in frigates (specially the cheap ones) is to have enough speed and signature to sigtank most spawns, with enough buffer or rep to tank out the ocassional alpha from sentry spawns. avoid heavy neuting sites (12 total neuting power is safe with cap battery, 18 total neuting means rushing to rush kill at least 1 of them and pulsate the repping to save on cap for prop and hardeners, anything else is a no no). orbiting is vital, and have a weapon with proper tracking and range.
C2 sites can be done in theory too, but the Battleship spawn would take forever to kill and it can one shot your ship with a single missile hit.
BTW: drones are possible with these as long as you kill the frigates. cruiser spawns wont focus after you take them out.
I heard about Rifter in C1, it must be really profitable in term of ship cost vs what you can get from blue loot & salvage.
It can be tricky dealing with the frigates with an artillery cane, no ?
yeah it will be hard to use long range weapons against them. one option could be to change to Autos. the other is to go armor tank, and use the spare mids apart of the cap battery to add a web and perhaps a tracking computer with script.
or since its a BC you could try and keep low transversal on them to ensure the shots while trying to keep the drones alive.
Hurricane is flexible in that regard.
as for the Rifter. yeah, not all of the C1 sites can be done but a well fitted frigate can pay its cost with just 1. just make sure to have the required equipment to squish every bit of valuables from it, blue loot, salvage, relic and data rewards from regular and sleeper sites.
a Destroyer could be a bigger and more powerfull alternative but im not sure how well they would fare, people usually suggests a Confessor (a T3 Destroyer), but since they get more tank and gank for a bit less of speed and higher sig, i can totally envision a Talwar or Thrasher running C1s.
and of course, there’s still the faction/navy frigs like the Firetail, Fleet Vigil and Dramiel (Dramiel would be a bit overkill due to cost)
Drake’s are great for c1-3
Yup, I heard a lot of good things about Drakes in Wormholes. Sadly, I’m not a Caldari ship player, and I’m really fan of the missiles gameplay
if you’re minmatar and fan of missiles check the Cyclone as alternative to Hurricane then, it got buffed in the last patch.
Doesn’t it have a bigger drone bay too?
yeah, the Cyclone is designed like a bigger Breacher or smaller Typhoon. it has a rate of fire bonus and less launcher hardpoints than the Drake so it has to compensate with something else, in this case is having double the dronebay and bandwidth (can carry 2 flights of light drones or a single flight of medium drones) along with two utility highs with the possibility of 2 turrets to complement the 5 launchers.
I havent been in any c1 whs… cant cruisers, like the stabber fleet or omen, clear the rats MORE and easy enough?
