yeah I am with you on that set of problems.

Although I have had some fun creating some abomination minmatar ships using laser weaons. You probably saw the Laser Muninn further up the postings. But I have a Laser Fleet Stabber which is pretty respectable in capacity. Its kind of funky to have the ability to fit lasers on a Minmatar Hull and have better cap capability. :crazy_face: Gallente can do the same to an extent. Caldari kind of miss out on the fun.

Currently Debating on how to equip one of my Nestors…and Tachyons on paper look fun…but really can’t fit them with any efficiency to the ship because your ship will not be allowed to tank or some other option.

Yeah Amarr ships are the weird opening ship, but they kind of fall off because once you’ve nuked someones shields, they kind lose functionality. Probably why so many players like the missile amarr ships over the lasers.

Tachyons is for paladins and nightmares
the rest you expend most of the fit on the guns , for example fitting 8 of these puppies in a apocalypse

btw i love beam lasers :heart: , they are great vs active tank because of the alpha ( if for a miracle of god you can make them apply ) , but usually lose dps race vs pulse conflag (also ■■■■ tracking anyway :stuck_out_tongue: )

i don’t like the idea of putting missiles on amarr ships …fells wrong

this can be solved by giving AMARR ships access to modified Triglavian LASER tech that does EXP/THRM/EM damage…

we already blew up a SUN with trig tech…give us weapons technology with a amarrian laser buzz!!!

maybe just make a TRIG CRYSTAL that fits into current lasers or a mod.
This mod is very unstable and imbued with abyssal spaceyness, your lasers now fire some explosive power of a triglavian disintgrators give it a modified visual of the trig disintegrators.

EDIT: NO RAMP UP BEAM DAMAGE disco ball, just classic shoot beam/pulse style… although I would love 8 disco balls on a Abaddon… but that’s not realistic

My thoughts exactly because Amarr ships need something that will make them have a little hot spicey mode that will make them again something to fear on the battlfield.

That special Trig [Mutated?] laser crystal sounds like the perfect nightmare fuel to add.

I also remember a weird weapon that Angel Cartel Sites get. The Angel Cartel Sentry II has a laser weapon that does kinetic damage as well. That would be interesting to see the Amarr getting such an odd weapon/ammo option.

He yells Heresy when I say something about Amarr Missiles…but then I post two words. LASER MUNINN. Be thankful inadvertently CCP is removing one of my favorite little horrors I fly off and on. FOR NOW. :smiling_imp:

Well you know they always talked about how the Starkmanir and Nefentir of Minmatar Republic were trained and preferred using Amarr tech before the Nefentir defected back to the Minmatar Republic during the Elder War.

Maybe you can have some ships mimicking disaffected Starkmanir and Nefentir pilots who feel like they are being discriminated against by the Minmtar Republic because of their past. Or some of the same people who still hold to some form of Amarrian religious belief. [A la the Kumak crowd.] Or you can have ships flying with this oddball fit for the Minmatar Republic Fleet Security Services especially on the frontier of Ammatar Mandate Space for mission stories etc. Covert Ops etc.

is that a tech two cruiser or a t1 with tech 2 weapons?
