Shooting player’s spaceships in EvE is not toxic behavior

Sigh.

1/10 man for real.

At least put a little more effort in.

Learn how TOS’s work kthx

This can only go one of two ways

  1. CCP removed all pvp from the game to comply or

  2. stop doing business with Germany so they don’t have deal with its anti-cyber bullying laws.

There’s a third option here, but my post will get censored and/or removed because [redacted] and a lack of [redacted] of how actual law works.

no you making threat is not welcome here. trying to play game without bullies.

It is gate keeping with no ability to strike back at the gate keepers (ie the toxic key board killers). Those of us who do not want to join your blue donut, or have the time to spend in six to eight hour fleets get it. And we are finally saying no to your gate keeping, your toxic play and to CCPs greed. Have fun guys, my money for three omegas and what was going to be ten omegas will be used else where. Enjoy your game.

When you started this industrial ganking in high sec and your gate keeping of the game to prevent high sec players from playing the game that they wanted, you were warned that you were pissing on the door step to the game and that it would result in lower player numbers and CCP losing revenue. Well you accomplished what you wanted and the active numbers show that CCP financials will be in the toilet. Way to go team. You did a good job. Not only did you take a great piss on EVEs door step but your gate keeping ■■■■ has caused this mess. As for my time and money I will go else where for entertainment. Way to go dude.

i find it hard to believe BUT
if it is the case CCP needs to put the classic alert on the undock button of the german version of the game

"by clicking undock you consent to PVP , are you ok with that ? YES. NO. "

OFC if you press NO you stay docked

Yeah they dont listen. Hopefully the class action lawsuit Hateless is working on around the illegal griefing and player torture will wake them up.

eve have a 3rd party tool called zkilboard

wen you register your character in the site you consent to give ALL your interactions using the game API
most high sec players don’t register in zkill but you bet the GANKERS and other PVP players do
because they like to brag about their kills
you @Daopa_Mission_Master and you @Tenger_Ondor_Khaan have no entries on zkillboard
that makes the claim that you are guys are harassed in game kinda hard to believe
i recommend that you two register on zkill for further documentation

I’m not saying CCP people cant see what is going on , they can , I’m talking about forum complains

I mean, just move out of the SoE hub my dude.

LOL.

ROFL ok, this gotta be straight lies LOL.

I think you mean gate CAMPING. And you should try it. Spectre Fleet runs a pretty solid one several times a week. Lighten up, see how the other half lives for awhile. You might enjoy it.

So this is going back a fair ways in the thread, but I can’t keep up with the posting spam.

This is an issue that comes up a lot. One group is like “If you change EVE you ruin it, it must be pure harsh PvP forevah or it’s just Farmville in space”. The other group is “You have to make it PvE-safe or it will simply wither away. It won’t be EVE if only a couple thousand people are playing it.”

The thing is, EVE can actually accommodate full-on PvP, more and better than it has now, and PvE play. It can’t be all one or the other but it can do both to a less extreme extent. The problem is that CCP simply won’t make that transition so long as $60 million per year is rolling in.

I’ve said before that EVE could easily handle another 10,000 players just sitting and farming whatever as much as they like. Personally I wouldn’t allow them to do so in perfect safety, although I’d definitely adjust the current game mechanics so there was more of an ecosystem to PvP.

At the moment PvP in high sec has no real balance - it’s primarily just cheap gankships ganking productive (even though lazy/stupid/unwary) players for profit. It’s boring and one-dimensional. It’s a playstyle that pays for itself with little risk or engagement and little benefit to the game as a whole.

The primary lack is that there’s no motivation (other than RP or grudge) to hunt the hunters. It takes a lot of time, there’s no profit or standings etc. in it, and anyone you shoot just re-ships into another cheap gankship anyway.

So the system of consquences/rewards in high sec could use some work, and then there might be a little less ganking and a little more actual ship combat going on.

I would certainly like to see more of anyone enjoying EVE and paying for it, and I suspect that having a ton of active PvE accounts would result in nothing but lower prices for a lot of things. And more potential content sitting in space.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say “Carebears be safe forever” simply because that would be quite boring for the niche audience of EVE. There are a lot of MMORPGs that you can be safe forever in, why try to make EVE simply another one of those?

Best result would be to make PvE a balance of reward and risk that appeals to more players and has less boring grind. And to make PvP a set of consequences and rewards that leads to a healthier combat environment than simply ganking, ambushing, and N x3 hot-dropping.

There is in fact already a warning that pops up if you try to undock in a totally un-fitted ship. Which is interesting as why would such a warning even be necessary outside of the context of PvP. So there is already a message that tells you to expect PvP outside.

Does the bizarre way you see things not perceive that that situation is called ’ a single player game '. You know, those things you download from Steam and never ever have to meet those nasty smelly things called ‘other people’ but only ever meet NPCs ?

I mean, what is the point of having a MMO server for a…wait for it…MULTIPLAYER game, if you are gonna leave out the MULTI bit ??

I dont really understand what the point in the end result of changing the game in either direction to an extreme.

But until they make combat intuitive, I cant say I see the fun in either.

It may as well be a single player game if other players are purely incidental to the game and have a role little different to the NPCs.

Combat is the end goal of Eve. It is what all that mining, hauling, etc, is for. It is what defines the multiplayer aspect of Eve. What a person could do in a ‘PvE only’ simulation does not require other people at all. I could go mining, ratting, hauling, etc etc is there was not a single other person in Eve. I could do PvE combat on a server with just ONE person on it. That is a single player game.
