Shooting player’s spaceships in EvE is not toxic behavior

Well I know you’re choosing not to cause you can’t beat them

Also shooting ships in any non newb sec of space is not toxic

LOL. Yennoe imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

Thanks for giving up tho

WHAT DO WE WANT? SAFE HIGH SECURITY SPACE WITH NO PVP!!
WHEN DO WE WANT IT? RIGHT NOW!!!

CCP LISTEN TO THE REAL PLAYER BASE OR RETURN GAME BACK TO 2007 FOR FAIRNESS.

I’m pretty sure, that high sec wasn’t a safe space in 2007. But if you want the 2007 mechanics reinstated, then CCP should remove the safties just like 2007.

Very interesting times those days were.

Oof 300 snow flake messages later, not reading through all that.

Agreed there was no safety even I accidentally pressed my smart bomb once and got concordikened.

All I see from this is make 1.0 system safe where you can farm 5mil isk an hour with perma green safeties and 0.9 to 0.5 becomes part of low sec.

I am not sure if this is sarcasm, or serious, but the thing is, if CCP started eroding the non consensual pvp in EvE, I would leave in a heart beat.

EvE is one of, if not the last old school mmo with a foundation of non consensual pvp left. I am pretty sure that is the reason EvE has survived for so long. If that is eroded I predict that EvE will not last long.

This, right here!

Make 0.9 to 0.5 part of low!

This is something we can all get behind. Deal. No ganks or pvp in 1.0 systems. Everything else now has low sec rules. How about that Lucas? People can safely farm to their hearts content in the new high sec. And everyone can shut up about ganking.

We did it!! 1300 posts later we have consensus! I like it. Handshakes all around. They can make all the starter systems 1.0 if they aren’t already, all other 1.0 systems stay in perfect safety, everything .5 - .9 is now low. New players can farm all day long in their systems until they feel comfortable to bootstrap themselves back from their scary voyage to low. And no one ever makes a ganking thread again.

Me too. The very essence of Eve is that anyone can be attacked anywhere. There is no safe place outside of dock. That is core to Eve, and if that is changed then it is no longer Eve and might as well just be renamed Carebear Mining In Space. People who grasp this are by far the largest component of Eve players and outnumber the whiny carebears by a large margin. Take note…CCP.

No…its a bad idea. Rather than alter the entire rest of highsec for the noobs, why not just have a message on leaving the starter system similar to that which one gets on first entry to lowsec ? Noobs would have to stick to the 1.0 starter systems for 30 days, or they could voluntarily shorten that and leave…but with that warning. SO much simpler to implement !

Make all space High Sec then we can say if we want ganking removed as all combat will be ganking.

No one happy, just as it should be.

Its a silly plan that really hasn’t been thought out. Least of all the utterly crazy notion that its going to make noobs any better off or more likely to stay. All that will happen is that the former highsec gankers will gate camp all the gates to your ‘new’ lowsec…and there will by definition be less such gates as they’d all be entries to the noob 1.0 systems. You wont have made things better…you’ll have made things 100 times worse for the noobs once they get past 30 days and leave 1.0.

Utterly stupid idea. It makes far more sense to protect people by age than to amend 1000 systems on behalf of a handful of noobs. And would be easier to implement !

But then the impression I get is that you don’t really care about noobs at all…and they are just a convenient tool for your own personal dislike of ganking.

The thing that is untrue is that you can separate combat from everything else…the notion that one can have people who mine or haul totally free from the consequences of the end product of the very stuff they mine or haul. The chain of supply is a valid war target even in real wars. Thus you cannot mine ore that gets turned into Catalysts and then whine if one of those Catalysts bites you in the ass !

To create areas where people can simply ‘mine’…free of all consequence…is to create an isolated sub-game disconnected from the the harsh reality that is supposed to be Eve.

As for expanding lowsec…if the goal is to protect noobs then there really isn’t a sillier idea. You would actually be reducing the area within which they have some degree of protection.

The fact that there’s zero consequences for you is all the more reason any plan by you should not be implemented !

The only person killing anything off is you. Sitting there with ‘zero consequence’ and trying to dictate the game for others. Gankers don’t make me feel like leaving Eve…people like you do.

There’s like a thousand MMOs out there, the grand majority of which don’t even have PvP, and most of them are losing players. New World was originally supposed to be an EVE-like game, got focus-tested, and all traces of non-consensual PvP were scrubbed from it. It came out, lost 90% of its initial player base within a month, and is now slowly leaking the remainder. Non-consensual PvP doesn’t drive players away from games; a lack of compelling and fulfilling gameplay does.

What we need isn’t a safe area for players, but a new forum rule that treats proposing ideas/making demands for game changes in the name of growing the player base/raising the company’s revenue in the same manner as all other forum offenses.

I actually don’t agree. What they should do is nerf high sec’s profitability and increase low’s profitability.

Like you can make ISK in high sec, but you want players to naturally filter out to low/null.

High sec can be a place to recover and make back ISK, but risk should match reward.

Oh, both sides are engaged in the fight during ganking  When most gank targets don’t fit a tank well, they’ve ganked themselves bruv

True. Its slow coming back now. But man, if you think EVE is bad, their territory control system over there lead to rampant player RMT LOL.

LOL, projecting again. And Cilly is actually literally the noob you want protected. Someone who has been through the gauntlet and come out the other side an EVE citizen.

Still, it doesn’t surprise me you’d take this tack. You don’t really like the noobs

And uh, brosef? You definitely don’t build community ROFL.

All I picture is you shaking your cane at things LOL.

grrrr fornite kids
