As someone who spent their time hunting gankers , I must say if we slip up in our PvP/ag ships they will try and kill us , not many are cowardly and often are dangerous adversaries to be around .

Virtually everyone CAN mine in peace in high sec–IF they skill to fly the right ship. It’s the new players and alphas gankers target, which is why they’re so toxic to the game. Veteran miners rarely get screwed with b/c they can afford a ship with a tank big enough to require more than just a few guys in t1 destroyers. These ‘pvprs’ aren’t out to find good fights–they’re mainly interested in killing something that isn’t able to fight back.

If you want do discuss the terrible game design, ■■■■ mechanics and T1 destroyer useless piece of garbage but gank, I’m game. But don’t make things up like: ‘you have a right to mine’.

EVE is a PvP game. Always has been. Always will be (the moment it stops being a PvP game, it dies).
Eve is not a pvp game, it is a game about freedom.
You can do PVE, you can do PVP, you can mine and you can even gank.
I play Eve because me, as a player, can influence the world lore as seen in Scope.
That means I can make a positive difference in this slavery and tyranny filled in-game universe. If changing the real world is difficult, changing the fictional in-game universe must be way easier.
If you code cultists want to drown yourself in brainless pvp and weak-culling, go play diep.io.

I have a mining alt and the hulk hoovers very quickly. Use an endurance for low sec as its align is 2. Something seconds (3 seconds). The endurance can warp away before anything even exits warp on grid. Just use hulk in high sec unless you’re happy to sit there forever in a mack. I have the cloaky version of the endurance but it’s defenseless. It doesn’t have a drone bay.
Anyway with a expedition frigate, you wont get gangked.

The only people HS gankers pose a serious threat to are AFKers and high-grade morons.
They have so much low-hanging fruit killing them that anyone halfway competent isn’t too bothered by it.

So called pvp players in EVE aren’t going to be tempted by this offer. They are not looking for fights, they are looking for victims - the more helpless the better. They simply have no interest in fight where the adversary might hit back regardless of the stakes. EVE has long been advertised as a some sort of online assylum for people mental disorders and tuned to be one, hence it can hardly come as a surprise that 99.(9)% of pvp is so called ‘salt farming’ and 99.(9)% interaction on forums is trolling.

We have far more malfunctioning and misdirected workaholics in this game, than we have real psychos, but it’s nice people still recognize that EVE also performs this useful public service.

Also, you need to try Imperial Navy Slicer pvp in Eve, or any form of scram kiting gameplay, you would probably find it enticing enough.
