Ok, then learn to do the sites faster and bring more dps? This is a competitive game. If you want instanced PvE where nobody can interfere, there’s always Abyssals.
the other day a dude was mad in local (yeah it was running properly at that time, what are the chances?) at me because i warped in one of those event guri malakim sites on the last wave, i killed the battleship looted the good stuff and warped out while he did all the work killing the two previous waves.
it’s as much your site as it is mine, that’s PvPvE, we compete for the site, and if i come to not your site on a command ship which i have invested 4 times the skillpoints that you have on your t1 battlecruiser, doing double the dps you do, should i still lose the contest? no, i obviously should win.
if you set your safeties to yellow you can steal my loot, if i shoot at you, you can point me and kill me, it’s your choice not do so.
It’s a matter of efficiency, isk per hour, it’s your choice not to do so, but don’t complain when you chose not to gitgud, you cannot expect others to chose the same ilogical decision you do…
Some argue that there is a certain ‘etiquette’, certainly if it comes to members of the same corp, where one does not ‘steal’ someone else’s site.
However I totally disagree. If there was corp etiquette then sites would be shared out…but what you actually get is one person zooming round claiming all the sites and people like me who don’t PvE that much find sites already ‘taken’. So the whole etiquette thing gets abused.
I even had a very annoying case where a corp member had left an anomaly unfinished…to go claim another one…and then after I arrived at the site they arrived back and claimed the site was ‘theirs’. That’s about as close to friendly fire as I have come.
LOL yep, that would be overkill!
Very good point. I think my best course of action here is to invest in high-DPS ships, minimize competition by ratting in low-traffic areas, and clear sites as fast as humanly possible.
Well you have a challenge right here.
I am guessing fit has much tank perhaps? if so perhaps swapping tank for mods that increase dps will do…
More DPS equals more sites per hour - yeah the income may be shlew the loot are good at times - the more sites get done the better the chances. Hope that okay for you…
I get better “loot” and bounties on the Angels while I mine kernite in 0.4 systems. I run a Venture fitted with 2 drones and my mining equipment for the most part. If some big bad shows up, I go back to dock and get my Thunder Bear (a Tristan) fitted for heavy NPC attacks. I am just an alpha miner, it sounds to me like you need to at least move out to a 0.4 or 0.3 system for what you are doing there. I don’t huff gas but I am told people show a profit on it. I can sit for several hours undisturbed in my Venture and kerplunk Angels while collecting my ore.
That is my pound of advice.
Huh, that’s very good advice… Maybe I need to get over my “fear” of lowsec because until now, I’ve always just associated lowsec with instant death.
Oh in LS your fine. There are no anti warp bubbles. Those are in NS/WH space. Any ship caught in bubbles 98% is dead. LS you have hope of warping before humans can react.
Just send a scout ahead in a shuttle…to check for gate camps. I intend to venture more into lowsec…but not in the high DPS ships you plan for. I figure a 200 DPS Kestrel can knock out a battleship because it can kite at 3000m/s and thus avoid the turrets. Though you have to pick on something that has slow turrets. And in any case, its only a 5m ISK loss if I don’t make it.
Lock them and fire on them.
