Skill Training Take long Time

How else would I be able to send secrets?

So many folks forget the place a coin into the slot and play!

One week I might like drones and the next week I might want blasters but the following week I might want them both.

I get this.

He’s basically saying that enough talk about skilling might prompt CSM Candidates to take it on as an issue, and press for some change, which would cause ruxions on the forums, to be fair.

This not so much, it’s as if he put his forum login details in Chat GPT and walked away.

Some Capsuleers extract and inject their pilots all the time to perform various activities.

New Lore confirmed…

The downfall of the second Jovian empire had nothing to do with the Jovian Disease.

They went forward in time and spent all enclave runtime power attempting to decipher the Frosted Scriptures.

Have you tried a plump-breasted carrier pigeon named Speckled Jim?

SP just as buying PLEX to sell and buy shiny ships doesn’t make the pilot. Before skill injectors and instant gratification, pilots had to wait excruciating long times to skill up their pilots to fly/fit ships, etc. The beauty of this method was a pilot had to learn and gain experience with what they had (assuming they didn’t just set training and sit in a station for the duration and log back on with newly trained skills).

This made for better and more skilled pilots that were ready to effectively fly those shiny ships (for the most part). Now, sure, you can pay to buy shiny ships and modules and buy sp in droves, but it doesn’t make one a good pilot… rather, it just makes for blingy km’s for seasoned pilots and those who know how to make the most of their skills, ships, and fittings. IMHO as aplayer who trained the vast majory of their SP the old way, of course. :innocent:

I have 40+ days before I can fly a marauder.

Skills can’t be taken from you. You can lose a hundred clones, but you’ll always keep your skills. That’s what makes them so valuable. In my opinion, they’re the most valuable asset in the game. Many years ago, you could lose skills when you lost a clone. Each clone was defaulted to a low skill cap. You had to upgrade your next clone to hold more points in the event that you died. If you failed to do that, BOOOOOOMMM!!! You just lost several million skill points!

Now, that doesn’t happen. Skill points are like diamonds- they’re forever.

I remember those days. People would unsub from the game after loading up their skill queue. Then, they’d come back in 3 or 4 months and load it up again. Saved money that way.

Didn’t they just nerf that one?

No idea

Edit: Yep! you were right. Serious nerf too.

  • 100% bonus to Shield Extender hitpoints removed
  • 50% bonus to Armor Plate hitpoints removed
  • 5% additional bonus to Reinforced Bulkhead hitpoints removed

That’s a huge nerf to their defense! The entire reason was to make them Active Tank so that they’re harder to multi-box with. (stated in the patch notes)

No buffs to Active Tank- just destroyed Passive Tank. I’ll have to rethink my current skill queue. The only thing I’m still lacking is Battleship IV and V.

Thanks

I have known it since they announced Revenant and published the patch notes :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
Some players have been crying and moaning for 3 days now because they were using it as defense against gankers. Now they’re going to have to think of something else.

I don’t want to rethink my skill queue, I don’t want to think about it much. I have 2 skills that will take 20 days each. Ouch!

Skill points is the name of the game. It makes you invested. It determine what you can do in-game.
You can thank CCP for removing the learning skills. Back then your skill queue would’ve been even longer without those trained to V. I didn’t mind learning them, but most players did.

Anyway, you can do a neural remap to shave off some time from your queue.

“What sort of pilot trains to level 5 for mission agents?” Mining mission agents of all agents.

My guess is if they make skill gain much faster then too many players reach the more coveted higher-tier ships and modules too soon and risk getting bored faster.
I see the skills queue as the carrot at the end of the stick and the players are the donkeys running after it.
The skills queue also brings a sense of permanence to the game as it runs day and night 24/7.

Do those mining missions excite you? What can you take from them, are you spawning good ore sites? How much do you get every mission?
Your specializing in social skills. You wanna maximize that loyalty point gain.
Have you seen a level 5 mining mission?
I’m prioritizing my PI skills right now. It;'s going to take months to train it all the way.

20 days? That’s all?
