Skills for kills event

I think it would be the last blow, since bounties already work in this way.

Is there not a statement CCP made some time ago that skilpoints from thin air would never be a thing?

We will see if you continue laughing if the player count goes down to 15k during that ‘fun’ event…including the 10k staying docked doing other things because the event is no ‘fun’ in their eyes…

But i bet it’s my fault than either…

They also said alphas would never get their grip on battleships…or faction ships…

This also vanishes into thin air…and was NEVER said…

Why should the player count go down? Why should people stay docked?

This isn’t a free for all event, CONCORD is not going to be disabled, shooting randoms in high sec is still going to be a red safety thing.

OK if you afk autopilot around in a shuttle or corvette then there will be a greater than normal chance of being ganked but flying sensibly will not carry any greater risk than it does now.

Yeah, but when in a fleet (which is what the question was about) the Bounty is split with Fleet members.

So are you saying that if 2 or more players are in a fleet and they destroy a player ship, then they all get credit for the kill and each fleet member will have their task completed?

EDIT:
CCP Video about Player Bounty

Yes…

We won’t know until we can try it, but I suspect it will be similar to what happens in these PVE events now, but just the target will be another player ship or capsule.

I don’t think CCP will make it too complex and will just use the same event system they use now, just with different cofiguration.

So the credit for the kill will go to the one who does the most damage or the one who get’s the last shot?

I think it may be set up like NPC’s, the one who does the most damage get’s the credit, as long as they’re in the same system.

How do the current PVE events work? I don’t know, so not sure what the answer to that question is.

If i had to guess, it would be whoever gets the killmail, which is the last shot. However if the current PVE based events are different then I suspect it will go with what they do.

Until we can try it, there isn’t enough info to know definitively and we are just speculating, though whoever gets the killmail seems logical to me (but not the only logical choice).

Yeah, it should be credited to the player who does the killing shot. Now that you mention it though, I haven’t heard anything on the actual mechanics pertaining to the SP tasks either.

However with regular NPC game mechanics, the player who does the most damage get’s ownership.

EDIT:
Probably whoever does the final shot gets credit for task completion.

Which is exactly why I think the free skill point give aways should be reserved for when CCP feels the need to apologise for screw-ups rather than to get people to ‘do stuff’ in game.

Based on the recent experiences of a… friend, it’s whomever lands the ‘killing blow’ gets the credit for the kill (during the most recent PvE event anyway).

I am curious to see how/what they come up with in terms of objectives for the PvP event though.

Agreed!

There is really no reason to project your cowardice to the rest of the players.

The only thing it will actually effect is that some will finally have a good incentive to tip their toes into some casual fun PvP and go out there in cheap ships to collect those SP.

And if it makes cowards like you quit that is just a bonus on top  no one cares about farmer trash.

Are you people really saying that CCP should never be allowed to change their minds or plans when circumstances change ?

be about on the same level as the guy who jumps into a destroyer and KO’s a t1 mining ship piloted by a 5 day old player.

during the “pve only” event pvp was never denied and each daily task probably just… happened as pilots were flying about seeking their pvp.

I’m on a bit of a break at the moment anyway so I wont be taking part. Good hunting

You’ve jumped to something not written, so no. No one has said that.

How the fk can you read that when it is written as “…at downtime each day between 12 March and 14 April.”
It is written out in words and does not use number even once in that incredibly short article.

You even feel the need to lie about how wrong you were just so we can point out your lies once again? Jfc - how can you be this terrified of the truth that you have to do this?

Just shut up Balos.
