Skills for kills event

Fair enough.

Demand. Lulz.

You’re on no position to make demands.

Seriously, ā€œlargest stretchingā€? The alpha injectors are by all means and purposes SP directly sold in the shop.

Do you also count omega training rate as sp sold in the shop. Alpha Injectors just bring you up to Omega training rate. just via a weird mechanic.

No, omega was always about the subscription to access the game. And in large parts that is still the case. EVE just used to have some special weird time based progression system where you specialize and then get broader access over time.

I know, extractors changed that. But the justification when they introduced them was exactly, SP are still only accumulated over time and only traded between players. They outright said then they will not create SP out of thin air.

Look, I’m at a point where I really don’t care anymore about that. It’s in the game for a long time now and it will never get removed anymore. But to act like CCP didn’t chop up the SP progression system and literally sells it in pieces in the store is ridiculous, because that is exactly what happened.

I demand a shrubbery, a nice one but not too expensive.

One of these demands is more reasonable than the other.

Apologies - that was before my time, so I didn’t know. It still doesn’t apply to skilling sprees though.

So we’re just going on your vague recollection ??

Then go play a game with PvP free zones. Try SWTOR

What kind of selfish asshole starts playing a game that is a well known PvP game and then demands that game be changed in spite of the existing players.

Talk about special privilege, special snowflake and entitled.

He’s right, CCP did make a statement surrounding the selling of SP at one stage.
I don’t feel CCP have broken that with alpha injectors as at the time alphas didn’t exist and the injectors are just the equivilant of Omega training speed.

Then why are you whining?

If it isn’t a pvp game, you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Well I’m not leaving this game, please come up with a better response than ā€œI don’t like your ideas now leave.ā€

You are the comic relief Sabus. By all means continue with your silly suggestions. What about player-owned jump bridges between Jita and Amarr? Or how about filaments to jump you to a random highsec system? Triglavian instanced mining pocket that last for 12 hours and can only be accessed solo, or as a three person mining fleet?

All very good ideas that CCP will probably monetize through the NES.

Well, for as long as I’ve been playing this game, CCP has broken every single promise they’ve made.

When the idea of Skill Extractors / Injectors was first introduced, they said it would be NES items that players could buy to re-skill their character by moving SP’s from old un-used skills into new usable skills.

Somewhere before they were released, CCP figured out they could make more money if they released the Injectors as a Trade Item. Course that in turn caused the creation of alt skill farms.

But hey, it was all OK because those skill points were created by a character training up skills and CCP outright said they would never sell SP’s created out of thin air… Course then CCP started releasing Cerebral Accelerators which supposedly was to help new characters get into the game much quicker. What they actually did was boost the alt skill farms into buying more Extractors.

Then somewhere out of the blue comes the idea of creating Alpha Clones with a SP cap and limited access to game content, all under the pretense that it would increase player numbers and eventually get those players to sub into Omega Clones.

Course over time more and more access to game content was given to Alpha Clones and to help them get into that content and bypass the base Alpha skill training cap of 5 mill SP’s, Alpha Injectors were created and that’s the issue, there are no player characters training up those SP’s, Alpha SP Injectors are created and sold by CCP, thus bypassing the player market.

Also let’s not forget CCP’s recent game change of selling skillbooks directly to New Characters, once again bypassing the player market.

Except so are omega sp created from thin air.
If you can’t get how alpha injectors are just a different way of doing omega training speed in small bites for alphas, then I really don’t know what to say.

The same for the rest of your stuff, cerebral accell for new characters is actually very very old.

No they are not, they are trained up over time by player characters and it costs money to extract them.

No they are not, they were created after Alpha Clones were implemented.

The sad truth is that you would be better off leaving EVE and finding a game that actually suits your desires instead of bashing your head against the wall trying to make EVE into something it isn’t and can’t ever be.

He certainly has lots of choices. As he points out, most other games are already built around PVE.

Oh I can answer that, one which attempts to move a number of skill injectors in a T1 hauler and gets pvped in the high secs! Do i win a prize now… I heard there was cake around here somewhere…
