No, I did not find a NPC sell offer for the item “Drones” in either

  • Kisogo VII - State War Academy
  • Todaki VI - Moon 1 - School of Applied Knowledge

Which are the two school stations in The Forge.
The first one is enough to consider if there is an issue or not, but to discuss there needs to be ONE provided, which is why I asked for ONE exact station.

This, however, is something that YOU should have explained, with screenshots, in your first post. Instead of being a lazy schmuck and ask people to prove your point. If YOU think there is a problem, then YOU have to prove it.

Too many trolls to quote.

The Forge is a Caldari region, it contains fx Jita.

In the OP there is no mentions that starter systems has to be in The Forge, there is a mention there is at least 1 starter system that does not have a specific skill AND that there are issues in The Forge.

So I won’t edit the OP because of the huge amount of trolling about it. Need to unedited so everyone can confirm for themselves the trolls are just trolling.

The magnitude of the error is larger than mentioned in the OP - which for you all trolls: Was (some or all) Starter Systems with drone skills and The Forge with Caldari ship skills.

More skill groups are missing from as far as I can tell all effected areas, and at least The Citadel is also affected.

For any newbies reading this and confused on the skills and where they are actually supposed to be found: EDIT: Where skills on market are or should be .

This happened on or very close to 2024-12-10. Anyone who says forever / ages etc, is just a troll.

This is NPC seed orders, anyone who say players did this, is just a troll.

This seems to be all Caldari space. Took a quick look in The Forge, The Citadel and Lonetrek.

This is well above 50 different skills, including but not limited to some of: Caldari ship skills, Shield and Missile skills (which are Caldari primary skills), some Gunnery (where Hybrid guns should be Caldari’s secondary weapon system) and fundamental skills (including some of Magic 14).

For the affected markets, this is all seeds from all corps in all their stations.

Seems to be the same skills in all the regions, but not going to bother test this.

Is it intended? At this scale it seems impossible not to be, but where is the dev post explaining why Caldari players should suddenly not have access to the standard skill books without visiting foreign space?

Do new characters not start with at least level 1 in each of those skills?

According to the EVE uni wiki they do. This would mean there is no point in seeding these skills on the market.

Can you give an example of a few exact skill names that you would expect seeing in Caldari space that aren’t seeded in Caldari space?

You gave a concrete example with the Magic 14. And it turns out that what you thought is wrong there, isn’t wrong, because there’s no need to seed skills when every character already starts with those skills.

Now I’m only asking if you can give a similar concrete example of other skills that you’re missing, so we can tell if there’s indeed something wrong with those, or just something wrong with your expectations again.

How is it off topic?

Starting skills are very much relevant for the topic of missing seeded skill books, because there’s no point for the game to seed skill books that every character starts with.

Such skill books would be useless, because no one needs them.

I’ll probably get accused of trolling again, but does anyone know how often the NPC seeded skillbooks are replenished?

Maybe someone with a big wallet is having fun buying out certain NPC buy orders in the Forge region and making money selling these books at a markup in Jita.

So sometimes you want 20 of a BPO, but they are sold only by pack of 2 by the NPC, so you need to buy the pack 10 times.

Just logging in and seeing for myself is easier said than done when Caldari HS is halfway across the universe for my characters.

Luckily EVE Tycoon allows us to see market orders anywhere in the game.

Looking at the Caldari Destroyer skill I saw no issues, but looking at the Caldari Cruiser skill I see NPC sell orders in every region in HS, except for Caldari space (Black Rise, The Forge, Lonetrek, The Citadel).

This isn’t unique to Caldari skills, because if I check the Gallente Cruiser skill it’s also available everywhere except for Caldari space.

Something is indeed strange.

‘Including but not limited to Caldari skills’ suggests it’s about Caldari skills and some non-faction affiliated skills.

This is why I checked Gallente skills too: Gallente Cruiser. And it turns out skillbooks of multiple factions are missing.

Gallente skills too are affected, so the problem doesn’t seem to be Caldari skills at all.

The problem is Caldari space. In short:

Skillbooks of all factions are missing in Caldari space

If you had written your post better you could have said so, and have given some concrete examples instead of letting readers ‘do their own research’. That’s not how bug reports work.

Also I assume you have not yet made a bug report yet? Then I’ll make one.

Edit: Made the bug report. It would have been a lot more helpful if I could give them a list of the missing skillbook names, but this thread doesn’t deliver.

We can see that Kisogo state war academy (station 60014659 ) belongs to the corporation 1000167 and therefore should seed the BP ; however no such order is present in game.
