The SKINR editor needs badly a Post-processing of already existing SKINS into
something else.
Repurposing of a SKIN from one Hull to Another, that can be identical Hull, process would be, or at least should be, almost free of charge. For changing Hulls in a basic Hull that is completely different in class, that would take a cost associated with it. Different Basic Hulls SKINS to a different Base Hull type instead should not be possible.
For example a Raven T1 Skin post-processed to be a Golem Skin, I think it could still be possible, with a high cost associated with it, but, it should cost less than creating a Golem SKIN with the same elements brand new. A Drake to a Nighthawk, same example, it’s the same Hull type.
One could have a very special T1 Skin and could create a unique SKIN that is unavailable for the Nighthawk. It would open Up New commercial venues for unique SKINS.
Add a design feature if there is a free spot in the already created SKIN.
Revert a SKIN for whatever reason into PLEX. This allows players to get away with SKINS that one have created but can not sell, or doesn’t like anymore and get back some initial costs investments.
The SKINR Editor is not completely flawless, and it’s very punishing as it stands.
The Finalize process for example DO NOT make a complete racap of what you are doing.
The ship Hull can be swapped for another similar and one could not notice instead of the Drake you have selected the Drake Navy Issue for mistake. Likewise it is humanly questionable why a completely identical hull should have different SKINS for the T1 and the T2 variants of completely identical ships. With different costs associated. This is very noticeable. It is a bit too much exploitation as it stands, with zero. Zero room for errors.
This is the N.1 Reason WHY we need the Post-Processing function.
How many features and all other details would be discussed later, but it’s important
to acknowledge the importance of its actuation ASAP.
Queotz.
Plz don’t answer like an AI bot that is trying to defend its little share….
We are all losing without this SKINR re-evaluation.
