Nice work! Keep it up!
But i’d love to see, that a “clear” doesnt trigger the alarmsound
A nice feature would be to have the option to define how many jumps away a neut will trigger the alarm.
Regards.

@Ikki_Phoenix do you have the log to file enabled for chat channels ?
@Thoralf_Odinsson it has that… a “Dangerzone” which is exactly that… a ring of systems x jumps around a character which you can enable / per character and filter the alarm to only dangerzone systems
Where do I find that option? Looked at preferences, but didnt see anything
Thank you very much
Does it run on Mono on Linux?
If you could package it up as an AppImage package and PGP sign it then that would be great.
The mapping tool no longer loads. I hit the executable file with the graphic icon and nothing happens. I have just downloaded the most recent version, unpacked it and restarted the computer.
Booted EVE and still nothing happens when the mapping tool is clicked. Any ideas of what could be wrong?
@Zoiie its c# wpf, so may run under linux; I’ve not tested it
@Rayford_Carpathia which zip file did you download ?
perhaps splitting off the backend from the frontend and having them talk over sockets would make it more adaptable then anybody can write another front end on top of it
Also makes porting easier if there is to need another toolkit used
A new release : 0.97
New :
The main feature of this release is the addition of metaliminal storms. It uses the data from the EveScoutRescue storm tracker ( Storm Track :: EvE-Scout Rescue) as we still have no official api for this…
A new panel :
And some extra icons on the map (note : the icons are still WIP)

I downloaded the SMT_0.96.zip file and unpacked it. Hitting the executable does nothing for me. My computer doesn’t even attempt to run it by giving me the little ‘processing’ graphic on my cursor.
Just successfully ran the mapping tool in Windows Compatibility Mode for Windows 8. I use Windows 10 Home.
Nice update and I believe I just saw you on the battlefield
@George_Delang if you open up the chat log in a text file is it correct ? I’ve seen the odd issue where the chat is getting logged out from the game as garbage (lines overwriting each other or in the middle)
The last couple versions of the Mapping Tool crash after I input a destination system to establish a route to. Any ideas why this is occurring?
@Rayford_Carpathia I’ve fixed a similar crash; if you could try deleting your characters_02.dat file in Mydocuments\SMT and reauthenticate it should work
A new release : 0.98
New :
Fixes:
The main change here is an update to the default layout; the colours panel can now be found in the preferences and the new default layout looks like this…
I’ve also added a debug mode so you can tweak the universe view layout… if your interested in helping adjust these please drop me a message

What are those red dots that appear next to systems?
@Ikki_Phoenix the small red dots indicate a cyno beacon, the red ring is a highlight for the dangerzone… i’ll add them to the map legend
A New Release : 0.99
New :
The storm’s now shows the full effect area, with the centre strong area, and weaker surrounding area shown by slightly smaller icons :
And finally, the intel channel and clear filters have been moved from the text files, to the preferences window :

Hi Slazanger,
I am just trying out this Intel app for the first time and I’m really impressed, on first impression! One suggestion though, as an old user of Near 2.0, I really appreciated the mini overlay that it provided, for quick, unobtrusive intel notifications. Would it be possible to implement something similar for SMT, so that you could easily switch between the minimalist and full view?
Regards,
JC
That would be very useful!
