We all know what’s going to happen there’s no point denying it. The game is going to get watered down to oblivion, it’ll be World of Warcraft in space or something. Consensual PvP only in 0.5 and higher, no more ganking in HS etc etc.

CCP owes PA $50m (cash exhausted in 3-4 months).
CCP has burned through $39m from crypto for Frontier.
CCP had another big loss in Q1 2025 and is on-track to lose $10-$15m this year alone.
These are facts (see PA’s Q1 2025 financial statement). CCP will run out of money by the Fall without another cash infusion from PA or sale of the company.
EVE in its current form is on life support. If PA can’t find a buyer with a hail mary (miracle) it’s just a question of when they pull the plug or significantly scale back operations.

We still only have one source saying that PA is selling. Until PA themselves says something or more sources come out, everyone is just building an inverse pyramid.
Yes, but there has to be some light at the end of the tunnel… They paid $200m for CCP 7 years ago and haven’t made a dime. Worse, they had to buyout the $50m loan to CCP so they’ve been burning through cash like there’s no tomorrow (PA as well as CCP).
It doesn’t matter if there are zero sources; CCP will run out of cash by Q3 2025 without a new infusion from PA.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they dump CCP for some cash/share/debt assumption that would net them around $100m.

Nothing would make me happier than seeing that toxic mechanic, along with the whole community that supports it, out of the game. That mechanics alone hurt the game and the number of players more than any other bad decision CCP has ever made.
