So long new eden

That doesn’t sound hypocritical to you?
You democrat?

Has literally explained hot to move Concord for 4months shy of ■■■■■■■ 5 YEARS.

FIVE YEARS the guide has been up, longer these tips have been used.

So
Why now?

Easy answer. Clear answer.

Ccp is becoming more pay2win-facebookgame-browsergame-milk the carebear whales with microtransactions than ever before.

Ccp made eves bones with ads like BE THE VILLIAN.

Now they are triggered cucks providing safe spaces

So there has been a rule in place against delaying concord for years. A rule that has routinely and regularly been broken, one that ccp has mostly turned a blind eye too.

And now that they have decided to start enforcing that rule. (The one that has been in place. And that people have been knowingly and wilfully breaking) they are the bad guys?

Here’s a thought… maybe don’t go around breaking long standing rules and publicly crowing about how to break them and you won’t get banned?

nah
because pulling Concord doesn’t isn’t delaying as per CCP’s words.
To delay would be to do like hyperdunkers used to do… i.e. dropping a ton of ships from an orca.

Every ganker has always worked the same way since Concord was a thing, and I don’t see why CCP would suddenly have a change of heart XD

Is “Become the Villain” a thing of the past?
Is the game owned by carebears?

Nah, but it’s getting there XD

oh and ag doesn’t have caps, they’re too bad for caps

It is also CCP’s rule. And it is ultimately their decision how that rule is interpreted. It is also their perogative to change that interpretation at any time they see fit.

Just because they have not banned for it in the past. Does not mean they are under any sort of obligation to NEVER ban for it.

I think “Become the villain” was and is still here to stay. There doesn’t seems to be any change related to this in low-sec and null-sec and I don’t think there will be. But becoming more and more unwelcome in hi-sec.

That seems logical:

  • Hi-sec is where empire/concord has a tight grip
  • Low-sec is where empire not interested in policing, almost like null-sec but player can’t claim sovereignty
  • Null-sec is where player rules.

Each player can choose where to resides according to their own play style.

If that is how you feel about CCP why play their games and pay them?

Being a villain will never leave EVE Online. Neither will “your actions have concequenses”. Its just that if you ‘play vilain’ + ‘do not break the rules’ that you are fine. However… if you don’t comprehend the rules… well then CCP cancels your subscription to ‘not-retards online’. It is very complex and a lot of dumb people get banned.

Salvos,

You now have the details which I think was what got them banned, they knew full well they were using an exploit and they have no one but themselves to blame.

Heh, first you say your friends got banned for no reason at all and then you post another reply (when you had previously stated you weren’t going too) that explains the reason for the ban. Obviously you guys have been dancing to that tune for way too long and it was high time you paid The Piper.

Glad to hear CCP is finally cracking down on people who profit from exploiting unbalanced game mechanics. There’s only one thing left to say:

Come now people. This thread has wildly careened off topic and then out of control. It was suppose to be a good-bye from one of our space friends who has had his fill of this game after years and countless hours of enjoyment. That is perfectly fine and normal, and will likely happen to all of us at some point, and does not deserve in-game rivalries and butthurt detracting from the main point that a fellow gamer and human being is moving on. Fly safe Zula!

Now, as for rule enforcement, we all know and agreed to a EULA that says CCP can do whatever they want. It is of course in their best interests to apply rules fairly and evenly and I honestly believe that CCP tries to do this. When they cross the line and ban people for their own reasons, like say the second bonus room bans which permabanned people for “harassment” even though there was nothing persistent or real-world about scamming people in teamspeak, that was their choice. Some people at CCP felt that teamspeak ransoming was bad for the game and acted accordingly as is their right. Of course, the people who were capriciously banned, or had their friends banned, also had every right to be upset and leave. That’s how a relationship like this works - like in life there are consequences to your actions even if you have the right to do something.

In other cases while I am sure CCP is doing their best, they are only human and make mistakes in enforcement. We all have seen or heard stories of people being reimbursed when they shouldn’t have according to the rules, or seen evidence of bots CCP seems unwilling or unable to catch. They also ban people by mistake. The link above has James 315’s account of that happening to him, and while we can never know for sure, all evidence points to the OP and friends being mistakenly banned last year. He is has every right to be upset over that fiasco, and whether or not that was a major cause of his decision to leave, or just an excuse for a player getting burned out on the game doesn’t really matter. Mistakes or even changes of direction by CCP have consequences, and it is good from time-to-time to remind them of that. So CCP, please continue to strive to be fair, clear and consistent on your enforcement of the rules.

Now as to this CONCORD delay confusion, it is amazing how one poorly worded notice about something completely different has been interpreted by the amateur space lawyers that hang out on these forums. That notice was meant to address Globby’s superhyperdunking and remind us all that circumventing the CONCORD response (like by deploying an excess of shuttles) is an exploit. And it is. However, moving CONCORD or positioning them so that they respond in their normal, intended time is perfectly fine. You are not “delaying” CONCORD by moving them somewhere so their normal response is in your favour. They are responding as was intended by CCP when they coded them into the game. This applies both to miners (who can spawn CONCORD next to them) and criminals (who can move them further away) as has been confirmed by GM’s in the past. For those that still have doubts, players do this every day (and I do it almost every time I log in) and are not censured or banned for it, including in the most public way possible during events like Burn Jita.

While I appreciate the relaxation of the moderation in these new forums, one really has to question whether discussion of bans or exploits is really a productive thing for these forums. They seem to quickly degenerate into poo-flinging by the butthurt and those with agendas. Sure, one can consider misrepresenting the rules of the game to undermine your in-game opponent as part of the meta game, but it is a strategy I find quite distasteful and dishonest.

Mate the can act as cool as they want, since you are the one taking a video game super seriously while they just have fun. CODE. are loved by the masses for creating the kind of butt-hurt you’re all overflowing with. You don’t have to like their tactics but you can’t seriously suggest they have no reason to act cool

Gankbears, carebears… they have so much in common, it’s disgusting.

Super Seriously? Another bait I am sure of it, because all I am doing is talking about one game mechanic, being part of the discussion, yet some automatically assume “You’re just a carebeeear, anti-gankeeeeer” when I stated nothing about something that is perfectly fine within my book, so in my eyes the “butt-hurts” here are those who start calling things to others, not the ones that are simply discussing how a mechanic works. Hell, look at Scipio, “These carebeeeears, ima gaaank and make them maaaad” and here I am being like “good on ya, you finally got guts to do it.” Not to mention that I did state that I respect them for how they play out on my first post, as this weird dictatorship that wants all miners in high-sec to pay a fee, never have I said that I hate what they do, just their actions to get it done, which leads to the discussion going on here, which you could argue that I started it, but you could as easily not reply to it and move on.

Don’t let the bears, who are on both sides of the fence, drag you down like this.

They just care about triggering people so they can feel better about themselves and you just made yourself an even bigger target. Feel pitty; it’s what they deserve.

Black Pedro,

You have not detailed the actual exploit in that ultra long post of yours…

Probably, yeah.

Nonetheless its traditional on these boards to give a leaver a thorough roasting on their way out.

He already denied us our “canz i haz ur stuffs” by laundering his isk, so we deserve atleast this small pleasure.

Its how we show our love :broken_heart:

What exploit? The OP is quitting because he is isn’t enjoying the game anymore. He in passing mentioned he wasn’t happy with CCP’s enforcement of the rules over something that happened in the past, and whether he is correct or not about CCP and their actions doesn’t really matter as he can judge them how he likes like we all can. That is how he feels and clearly isn’t the only reason he is leaving or he would have done it long ago. Let’s just wish him well and not waste time telling him he is wrong to feel how he feels, and if you want to discuss CONCORD or bans, we can do it somewhere more appropriate.

So pulling CONCORD is finally being enforced as an exploit?

Some people would just bring a couple more gank ships in order to kill the target faster.

Some people would rather quit the game in tears like complete fools.

You started talking about CONCORD delay confusion or manipulation and suggested that it was linked to Globby’s superhyperdunking, what you said was not the exploit that they got banned for. Just making sure that is clear.

As for his feelings, what do I care, this is Eve, no safe spaces here…

Why are you still here then?
Ah yes, you have "proof"of what they supposedly did

Do send that my way, I really want to laugh at whatever you wrote down
