Ganking is “real PvP”…lulz.
There are more ways to kill someone in high-sec that just ganking.
Typical Lucas dishonest abuse of language. Nobody gets ‘dragged’ into chat. Anyone can decline any chat easily. Anyone can easily block people’s chat in Local. I do all the time in Jita. Nobody is forced to read anything they don’t want to…or to hang around in any chat room.
Are the people you profess to be standing up for 5 year old kids incapable of taking responsibility and clicking a button to decline or get out of chat…or are they competent adults who know how to use a mouse ?

Nowhere does it say that high security is absolute security. Noob miners get attacked by NPC rats far more regularly than by gankers…the rats appear very regularly…so it is obvious within minutes of starting mining that highsec is not safe.

Highsec rats negatively affect player retention. It is supposed to be HIGH sec, so there shouldn’t be any hostile NPCs.

You cannot be ‘dragged’ into chat. Have you really been in Eve 20 years ( I doubt it ) and never seen the DECLINE button ??
People try to drag me into fleet all the time. I have always managed to outwit them so far. Knock on wood.

Years of practice opening a window that says accept or decline. The more years of experience you have, the more likely the recipient will choose accept.

I know ! One minute I’m sitting there highsec mining, and next thing I know I’m being un-consensually dragged into a fleet of Leshaks heading for nullsec battle. I am lured into not noticing the DECLINE option, and I get fleet warped without consent and lose my Venture. This is an outrage, and CCP really ought to have a huge ’ DO YOU WANT TO DECLINE THIS FLEET ?’ window for us poor unfortunate people who don’t want to be…erm…dragged…into fleet.
