Ah yes because there is only 1 person advocating against ganks of course, you think very highly of yourself, you probably think you are super smart or something.
Sorry to break it to you but i am me and i am posting with my main character.
Altesse is Safira Jomitaās alt. So when heās talking about āmultiple charactersā and probably also āecho chambersā just know itās just projection.
First, I region traded as a relatively new player (iirc, around 3-18months old). So, I dispute the idea that we need to drop atom bombs on a play style, and make it possible for people to haul in perfect safety in order to allow people to get into region trading.
Second, did I read that right? Did you just argue that we need a capital hauler because itās hard for new players to get into trading?
Ugh. @Uriel_the_Flame Why did you drag me into this nonsense? Iām four posts in, and Iām already out of patience.
Sigh. I got too much stuff on my plate right now. Iām going to sit out the rest of this nerd fight.
Maybe, just maybe, this game isnāt for āmost peopleā. Maybe what you are really looking for a a nice, safe, single player game. While I donāt like being ganked and i havenāt tried ganking, it does add an element of risk making the game a little more enjoyable. If I want risk free, I can fire up Master of Orion.
no, just the stupid, the lazy, the entitled, the ones that think they can reap benefits off someone elses efforts without putting in effort themselvesā¦that effort sometimes means reading stuffā¦
and sometimes it means STFU and listening to what a veteran is telling you.
Are newbies (who have not had the time to gain hundreds of millions of isk) actually being ganked over and over while hauling their veldspare to the market to sell, or are these complaints coming from lazy veterans who feel dumb because their leopard with the corporationās BPOās got ganked?
I have been mining in my venture, and seen the barge next to me get ganked while the gankerās did not bother with my venture. I question the basic premise that scores of newbies are getting ganked so often that they rage quit. Why would suicide gankers even bother ganking new bros (who arenāt hauling BPO or large skill injectors etc.)?
I question the basic premise of this thread. I think these are the complaints of veterans who got lazy and now feel dumb and angry because their leopard got shot while they were auto piloting it.
You can lose your ship ergo its only fun for psychos ergo it has a low population
What a bunch of moralistic twaddle. The harsh nature of the game is why many people are drawn to it. Yes, there is a line between ganking and griefing, and itās grey and one is legit while the other should be suppressed. But the argument āIāve worked weeks for this ship only to lose it in a secondā mainly tells me you should probably find a PVE game, friend.
To add a more constructive reply:
I suspect the economy would precisely suffer if you could load a max expanded Itty V with 25bil worth of stuff and autopilot it to new places while you sleep. Hauling is a thing precisely because there is no magic like that. Not sure what itād do with prices but I think slowing down the movement of goods by making it dangerous is a good idea overall.
