FW mechanics are in a bad place but there is lots of ISK to be made which keeps it alive.

Imo the main issue is that complexes give asymmetrical rewards for each militia. For example when two BFs spawn, each militia is racing to separate ones. And when only one is up, usually only the people who are on the attacking side will take it serious because they actually get a big reward. Defending it, not so much. So every day the militas are low key win trading.

Giving different rewards must have started because there spawns faction navy NPC in the plexes and in theory this makes it easier for one side depending on the faction the NPC is from. But if its a pirate NPC instead it will aggro either side and they can get same reward for completing it and it will become whoever captures it first gets the reward and the FW will likely get more intense and less farmy.

A side note if i may… You dont really have anything to do in the plex when you are capturing. You just wait for the NPC to spawn or enemy militia to come in. But what if you could also shoot the structure? And it gave some additional LP.

Last but not least? Complexes are not hard limited. So you can have a group of people fighting for the BF and bringing the expensive gear. And then seaguls as they call them, come in, and substantially reduce their reward. So if for example BF start lowering reward if there is more than 30 ppl from ur faction inside, then just hard limit it to 30 people and let there be a queue at the gate? And if you die inside you wont lose your slot until after a few minute. I think all in all these 3 things will make FW less farmy, more fair, and more engaging.
