collissions are an active game part but player bumping that you can gank then isnt anymore !
so at first you need to explain why its important and a game improvement if you “kill” collission !

Removing player collision will improve performance but it might also be essential for the new stargates mentioned in op. But generally player collision in multiplayer are just an annoyance that no-one will miss if removed.
