SP selling: Good monetization or bad?

So except back in the heyday of 500,000 subscribers (and sometimes even then), there’s not much left. CCP isn’t raking in profit… they often lose money or barely break even.

Most of my own complaints aren’t about CCP profiteering or making money - I want them to succeed financially. It’s about the incredible waste of a great IP that makes more than enough money to grow and develop. If only CCP didn’t insist on throwing all that money away uselessly.

Only because you don’t see past your nose.

I disagree. If they don’t play the game they are no longer part of the community, especially after, to come on the forum and start riling up everybody, and mocking and criticizing a game they purport to love.

I’m glad you’re amused.

I’m only random to you, I hope you know that.
And there’s literally nothing wrong with Fortnite so you trying to cow me with that is amusing.

I never implied they aren’t. HOWEVER, I have no sympathy for players who play the game in “wrong” way and because it is not working very well for them, they come cry on forum/reddit and demand for CCP to change the game for them.

So they can play the game however they wish but if they don’t play according to your way it’s “wrong” and you have no sympathy for players who play a sandbox their way? I think I got that right.

Yea, if they want to play their way they shouldn’t complain it’s not working but do you really believe that CCP listen to crybabies?

There is nothing wrong with playing any game if you find something in it that interests you. I still play Chutes and Ladders with my cousin.
Lucas insisting about “random” and Fortnite only displays the measure of his lack of intelligence.

Just wtf. How did you manage to came to this conclusion from what I wrote?

This is like what, 10th offtopic post of yours? It is clear that you have no arguments against the actual topic so you are nitpicking your opponents and putting your words into their mouths which you can attack.

Very low, aren’t you a gank-hate too btw? That is their forum PvP strategy. Well at least we know you lost already and have nothing else to counter your opponent arguments when you have to resort to this.

Because that’s what you wrote. You did write this, right?

Ooops, you’re right.

back on topic

More like a lack of consideration, which I shall extend to him as well.

And you’re right

So back on topic, I agree with OP and CCP selling SP is a good idea.
I’d rather give cash to CCP than ISK to an ISK Farmer to PLEX his account.
There, I said it.

It all goes back to CCP anyhow though as they sell the skill extractors.

I hope it does. But why give ISK to a ISK Farmer for injectors when I can contribute to the success of EVE by buying it direct from CCP?

You have a point. Since EVE is Everyone vs Everyone, by buying from the players’ Market you’re actually helping the enemy by giving it ISK.
Who knows, you maybe helping the player who ganks you.
I wouldn’t be against CCP having a presence on the Market as an NPC who sells CCP-seeded items and also SP and ships/modules direct from CCP for cash.
I know I said this

but your comment made me change my mind. I’d rather it’s CCP who profits from my money than some player whose goal is to grind ISK for PLEX in order to skip on paying CCP cash for Omega.
PLEX should only be acquired with cash.

So this comment looks as if you do not believe in the Regional Market then.

@Iceacid_Frostpacker What do you mean by “believe in the Regional market” ? I don’t understand your statement.
I simply would much prefer to buy stuff from CCP than other players.

Well a “ISK Farmer” can be someone who generates their plex from the regional market.

If a pilot would rather pay cash for ship hulls (mining barges) than buying from the regional market then that comment would look alot like someone who doesn’t believe in the market is what I am observing.

My view on the subject can be a lot different than how others see the comments made by capsuleers.

Yes. Wherever they get their ISK from, if it’s to buy PLEX I call it ISK Farming.

Ok. Not sure about what I’d believe the market for or about but I guess I’m just not a believer.

PS: I don’t like the thought of buying from my enemies.

Is there anything left in Eve Online that makes the game unique and actually different from the rest of the gaming world?

We know the massive battles that have to happen simply can’t, because of their limited decade+ old hardware.

We know that the economy is not player driven and has CCP intervention.

There is no reason to log in anymore. No wait time to learn and explore before you get to Level V in whatever skill category.

You can’t rat for profit anymore because if you do you will just lose value of bounties.

You lose 50% of your mining fields simply for having better skills.

You cannot specialize in anything anymore. You have to be 1/64th of a whole supply chain for 1 simple basic unit of required materials for building nearly anything…

You are encouraged to purchase and use input-broadcast apps as long as you pay for those subs wink (see: Kusion et al).

You, the individual no longer matter. Your value is little and your potential is even littler. What once was in New Eden is no more.

Just buy the victory. That is what Eve Online has become.

Enjoy all of your NEW PLAYERS, CCP. Soon that is all you will have.

Imagine introducing Skill Points to that game, lmao.
These EVE players are so tough that they wouldn’t be caught dead playing Fortnite. Have to admire their dedication to and love for EVE… until CCP does something they don’t like, like selling SP, then all of a sudden their dedication turns into spite and love into hate. CCP could do without “core players” like those.

I hope that result is intended. I hope CCP reviews their decision to have PLEX and ISK entwined with Omega status.

why dont you quit then. you hate the game just leave.

Two selected data points mean nothing.

I think it’s pointless to protest. On April 4th there was 50MM of rain over four hours. On August 9th not a cloud in the sky,

That’s a whopping 100% desertification of my city
