ISSUE #002: New connections
Since the fall of Niarja, Amarr market declined and had to increase the local production while trying to get self-sufficient as the closer and safer travel to the main hub (Jita) is 45 jumps away. Other options lead to lowest security areas which are filled with unlawful entities who are taking advantage of the situation.
This issue is an example to explain the investment focus to new stargates building operations, research resuming on the Shipcasters which could be used other than deploying militia entities or finding new solutions for a safer travel.
Contract task:
The society of “Philanthropy” is paying pilots to conduct system surveys on 3 targets: Shera (0.6), Renyn (0.9) and Hykkota (0.8). You’ll need to scan down as more wormhole anomalies as possible which lead to another high-sec system (A641 WHs) and record which one is. The objective is finding a possible correlation between local system and wormhole presence that leads to a specific system. This could bring to a next phase to find a way to study the specific wormhole and stabilize it to build a stargate around it.
Reward:
10.000.000 ISK for every complete data about found wormhole anomaly. It must include:
- Time of the discovery (YC-mm-dd; hh:mm)
- Local system name (Shera - Renyn - Hykkota)
- Cosmic signature ID
- Wormhole destination (jump to it to find out)
- Wormhole status (Lifetime; mass stability. - a non-edited screenshot of your camera drone with system, scanning window and WH info is enough. Remember to hide private and intel informations)
You can post your reports here or in our dedicated communications channels.
Possible outcomes:
This research project could lead to a next phase which could interest haulers, industrial and scientific entities. Further collaboration proposals to improve this project will be appreciated and considered.
Registered records
Shera:
Renyn: Keikaken (1)

I will park a fitted Astero Anna to Renyn as it is just eight stargates away from our main operation in New Eden.
Will start after we can come to some agreement that any wormhole uncovered, we will not be entering or closing.

The Wormhole entrance is only to retrieve the data about specific system destination. No closing operation or interference within the target system has been mentioned or considered necessary; you’re free to return to the origin system immediately or travel further.
I’m not making this up, we will not be entering the wormhole entrance.
I may report back on the results within the Renyn star system and this may include some information on the discovery.
This report when created might include important information to help you.

Public Access to view this Unstable Wormhole which leads to unknown a High Sec Star System..
On delivery of payment, please forward to Anna Frostpacker with HAA-388 reference id.
Greetings! Mister Kalodote Lafisques,
Project “Alexandria” sounds very important,
I understand I must enter scanned wormhole to report destination of other side.

Our Commander too afraid to enter, we do not question reason.
Next time new Cosmic Signature appear I shall continue to be brave as I like strong like bull.
Cash sent. Thank you for your interests and contribution.
Hello,
This sounds like an awesome project. Having just recently re-read the Compass and Compass 2.0 papers, I am more than happy to take part in this.
You will hear more from me very soon!
Kind regards,

How do you propose a stargate would be used to stabilise a wild wormhole? To my knowledge (it has admittedly been a couple years since my uni days) the only technology that has ever been known to stabilise a wormhole in the long term is the talocan static gate, a very different sort of machine, and maybe(?) the EVE gate.
A stargate isn’t a device you clamp onto an existing spatial rift, it’s a machine that manufactures its own artificial wormhole by forcing spacetime stress to build at a gravitational resonance node until it forms an infinite-curvature node that can connect to another such prepared node. You don’t hold open an existing wormhole, you create a mass boson plasma sphere and use reflectors to trap the graviton radiation that would normally dissipate tensor shear, such that stress accumulates until an artificial wormhole forms. If another such sphere reaches critical stress at the same time, the two are highly likely to connect and form a stargate connection. At least that’s the case with Gallente and Caldari stargates. I admit I’ve never studied Amarr ones, for all I know they may work on different principles.
In a wild wormhole, where is the resonance node you’re exploiting to form the mass boson sphere? A stargate requires very specific geometry and carefully engineered stress management, but a wild wormhole’s mouth is where it is. How are you controlling the far endpoint? With only one mass boson sphere, the endpoint can’t be selected for, and even if you manage to form an artificial wormhole this way, wouldn’t it be too unstable to transit?
I think a more scientifically sound way to accomplish this would be to simply use a jump bridge. Ozone is cheap.

While we thank for anyone interested about the project and for their contribution. New current events forced us to low the priority of this project to open a new issue. You’re still free to contribute with new data results.
