Client launch failure
Could not find file :
/User//Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/SharedCache//wine/bin/wi…

same here… :frowning:

English Version:
Same problem here after the Tuesday update. Like said before deleting Cache and reinstall doesn’t help. I have a MacBook Pro 2018. This problem does not occur on my Windows PC.

I have the same issue and I also have a MacBook Pro 2018.

Same here.

The double slashes should not be an issue. Obviously a file is missing but the error message is cut off, thus you can’t read the filename.

Watching my Omega-Time pass without being able to use it really sucks.

According to the logs, the missing file is: “2019-09-13T19:11:05.535Z default debug CustomWebPage(0x600000cf6a00) “showError(‘Client launch failure’, ‘Could not find file /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/SharedCache//wine/bin/wine64’, 10)””

The error is corrected, the file is missing :frowning:

The filename implies, that the problem is caused by the use of the 64 bit version.
Changing the game settings so the game DOES NOT USE 64 bit solves this problem.

In my opinion, this bug is kind of stupid

The error you are getting means that your are trying to run a 64 bit client while on the 32 bit Wine emulator. This is most likely occurring because you have wine-1.9.17-143-g91037ca-ccp-master-72 pinned. To resolve this issue you will need to change your wine version to the correct version wine-4.15-Staging-whinehq-binary-207.

To change you wine to the correct version please do the following.

Start launcher.
Click on EVE launcher in the apple menu at the top of the screen.
Select preferences.
Make sure the option 'Run clients with 64 bit' is ticked.
Make sure wine version is set to wine-4.15-Staging-whinehq-binary-207.
Click Ok.
Close the launcher and the client if either is running.
In finder, click Go to Folder and copy paste the following

~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/SharedCache

You should see a folder named Wine – move that folder to trash.
