I really like the fact that ccp has managed to create an artform out of ignoring player feedback.
The fact that besides dust being shut down for a while now the infantry icon still exists should tell us how much they really care about the game.

It is a pointless feature. I wonder if it is also introducing a slight performance hit. In busy systems the local list seems to be scrolling more jerkily than before.

This adds Zero Value to the game and only serves to clutter and distract.

Get rid of it and focus on more game-play mechanics and other player enhancements please… Not this visual BS.

Thank you.

Yet again another turd sandwich launched!! Not only is this start conversation balloon a waste of dev time they still have “successfully launched” after each update. Get your monkey $4i7 show together CCp… It’s the little things you seem not to be able to keep your tiny grubby fingers off of. Your like little kids picking your noses and eating your nose pebbles!! We as players/payers should be able to lock down the things we do not want you touching!

Here’s an actual question, maybe CCP can answer: If I have MY character set to “automatically reject chat invitations”, does my character still get the stupid icon when everyone else looks at her?

Remember this beauty?

Oh, CCP is just trying to make the game more sociable.

And failing because people are turning on the block chat invite’s option to get rid of the spam.

CCP doesnt know better than players. If someone really needs to communicate, he will do it, no matter what. This bubble is just distraction in a chat channel, overlapping names of the people.

So I chat-spammed randoms, and was rejected about 75% of the time. People DO NOT want this feature!

So the icon DOES show even if the person has “automatically reject chat invitations”. I guess that’ll become the new default. Good cause -> effect, love it.

As Nana said above, all the icons do is block out the names on local. I like to have the local window as narrow as possible, only wide enough to show names for when im looking for targets and checking killboards. Now i have to make the window wider just so i can show the full names again :slightly_frowning_face:

Yes, i know, get a bigger screen. Not an option at the moment!!

Right click and scroll down worked before fine, not sure why it needed the bubble.

CCP have a nice feature that I think is still underused and it is the circular menu that can have many options, it can be used instead of the right click. Why they dont just add it to chat, to pilot names with as many options and icons as they like? :woman_facepalming:

Theyd just make it so it showered icons all over the place with a firework effect.

CCP are just encouraging people to move to j-space. /jk

I have a better one:

In their ultimate wisdom CCP decided that, to combat the lack of communication between players,
ALL WORMHOLE SPACE WILL SOON HAVE IMMEDIATE LOCAL, JUST LIKE THE REST OF THE GAME!

That’ll help!

Of course! How else would they shoehorn those little speech bubble thingies into WHs?

@yellow_parasol You’re such a cynic! I like it… :smiley:
