I had to give up my beloved CQ because it took too much resources. I hope none of those “freed resources” went into this irrelevant spam icon.

You figured out how to beat the system! Now all that’s needed is shitton of people doing it.
Just chiming in that this button is useless and clutter and needs to go away. Nobody needed or wanted this. There was no confusion about talking to people. and if there was. there was this handy textbox at the bottom of local where you could talk to people already.
Maybe they felt bad for removing EVE Gate and email that you could access from the forums, as PM tool that worked in the game also. So they compensated us with this…

That spamicon is propably more part of a greater plan to remove that functionality.
With that more people will “Auto Reject Invitations” so CCP can come forward in half a year or so with a fancy graph that shows, that only a fraction of players are using that function. Therefore it has to go.
The same bs tactic they used to get rid of the CQ.

CCP could you please add near the “start convo” another “block button” and ensure it’s similar what Donald T. has - it is bigger and actually works.

This terrible feature needs to go.
I have been accidentally invited to chat so many times by randoms who have obviously mis-clicked. I had to check the box “auto reject chat invitations”.
But by doing so, you auto reject Fleet Invitations too.
Set CSPA @ 1m and people won’t bother you.
I think they can do more with this feature. I’d like to see a quick donation icon so I can transfer ISK between my alts faster.
Keep Local in the Neocom with the other options, so that those who gorge on inane social interaction can have their fill if they wish. Why have it automatically up at login?
Also, the effort to pander to Alphas is so transparent that I wish CCP would spend a like effort in keeping paying players mollified. The desperation is almost palpable.
