Is concord gonna blow me up for podding in Low Sec? Some systems lemme shoot the pod. others dont
Huh? There is no CONCORD in low sec.
Why is my safety going off?
Concord never leaves the doughnut shop in low sec. But you will get a kill right on you and a sec hit. Youāll need to have your safety thing off green.
its on yellow
You mean the button? Do you have it set to red?
yellow. change it to red?
Yep, im retarded. changed to red. poof pods
Only if you jump to hisec while still having the criminal timer active.
Well, they are griefers, and that is what griefers do. As I have said, their griefing serves no gameplay purpose. They just do it because they can, and because they think ruining someone elseās gaming session is fun.
Certain people in this thread can blather and throw around insults all they want, but I, personally, have not renewed my paid subscription because I got tired of my corp mates constantly calling out āso-and-so is redā in the systems we like to mine in, or āso-and-so gate is camped.ā Thatās less money for CCP or whatever entity runs this game. How many other players have stopped paying for subscriptions or left Eve entirely?
I can no longer spend any time in friendly cooperative gaming sessions with my corp mates, because Iāve had enough with dodging griefers. I canāt reach my corpās home system because every hi-sec gate enroute is camped. So on the rare occasions when I play Eve Online, I stay in and around the relatively safe system I first moved to way back in 2006.
Having the entire universe of New Eden as a kind of Wild West where nobody is safe anywhere was a good idea when the game began, and a good idea in 2005, when I started playing, but times have changed. Newer players are coming to the game for different reasons. My own reasons for playing have changed. Iām near retirement age in RL, and I play computer games as a distraction, as a way to relax, not for the drama. If Eve does not change to accommodate the changing composition of its player base, it will die sooner rather than later. The griefers, of course, donāt care about this. They will just take their toxic playstyle to another game.
It would help Eve, not hurt it, to make 1.0 and 0.9 space completely off limits to griefer gameplay. Let the rewards be much greater for players below 0.9, but those of us who prefer to dial down the drama would like an area where we can exist in peace.
Hard to take anything you write seriously after you put some asinine ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā like that down on paper.
You can have peace and quiet in a video game as long as you and the rest of you old boomer cunts (I am saying this tongue-in-cheek, but frankly hope you get offended anyway) stop driving up real estate prices with your speculative portfolio investment that ensures that my generation needs to give up upwards of three-quarters of our post-tax income just to make rent on apartments the size of prison cells. Toodles!
Incorrect,
Some do it to inject a sense of danger and adrenaline into the otherwise drab and boring highsec life style.
Itās called ācontent creation.ā
What I donāt understand with the people who want to mine in utter safety is what they are mining for. To be able to build a massive pile of ISK ? Does anything ever get bought with all that ISK, and if so, what ?
If all you want to do is āmineāā¦for relaxationā¦why not just go out in a Venture ? They can easily flee back to a station if gankers show up. I top up my ISK now and then with a Venture. Iāve never even seen a miner gank in the asteroid belts, let alone been chased.
More.
Yes.
Yes.
+Yield.
HTH
Ore for oreās sake. I think that was a song by 10CC
This is worth repeating, and should probably be stickied somewhere where new players see it.
Player made ācontent creationā, in all itās various forms, which includes ganking, suicide ganking and gate camps, keeps highsec from appearing stale, lifeless, and boring. Iād like to repeat that last word, boring, cause āboringā drives players from EVE as well.
This is why I play solo. No one likes a mouth breathing cheeto eating miner on comms.
After reading your post, Iāve come to the conclusion that youāre unfriendly, uncooperative, miserable bitter person to be around. Your corp probably sighed a breath of relief when they realized you quit.
Doubt.
A person who is nearing retirement age would have enough real life wisdom to recognize that āpeaceful, no-dramaā gaming only occurs in single player games. The moment another person joins, drama is injected. Good or bad.
Thatās pure speculation and has no basis in fact. Unless you happen to have data hidden in your back pocket to support that claim.
Nope. Its a valid playstyle supported by the devs. Learn to EVE kthx
Wut. Ok, now this is just a straight lie ROFL. There are only a few systems camped and def not 24/7 either.
LOL most of high sec is perfectly fine ROFL.
I recommend Animal Crossing
Look grandpa, EvE Online is not your nursing home.
