raravoss is taken by trigs

Since this is a live thread.

Do note that.

Nevyn beat me.

Yes, final liminality didn’t work out the way we had planned. Apologies for any frustration this has led to. We’ll get this fixed up as soon as we can and make this doesn’t reoccur after you’ve all put in so much hard work.

Still, congratulations on putting Raravoss into final liminality. That will stand after we sort out the situation with the sec status in the system.

Guessing by that, Raravoss shouldn’t be showing has an High Security system? If that’s the case, are the Edencom systems that reached final stage also being affected by this “bug”, ie should low security systems be gaining sec status in the same way High security systems are losing security status? if not, why not?

whats the purpose of defending aginst the trig invaders in such systems?
is it to prevent them going to null security space depending on the sec level of the system?

At present its kind of difficult to pick a side to support unless you really know what the outcome is intended to be.

I am a little confused by this. A statement like “didn’t work out the way we had planned” is kinda strange. It’s perfectly understandable that you’d encounter problems that have not been forseen when you apply a patch but the basic functionallity should have been tested and made sure to be working before you integrate it into a live system.

You’re talking CCP my dear.

I do hope there is more than just another boring lowsec system. So far I didn’t see anything spectacular or new. Grinding NPC to just change sec status and have some different graphics without further meaning is underwhelming.

Also what’s the point of EDENCOM fortress? Except people can’t jump there anymore. You have to tell and explain more.

In general playing a game where you neither know the rules nor the reward is kind of lame. Remember everything we knew about the event and created the motivation was only from reverse engineering the patches, not from ingame or other official communication.

:red_circle: Edencom Fortress systems still have all sorts of beacons in space that you could pressumably attack and remove to reduce Edencom influence (I guess). Are there Trig beacons in this system that would work in the same way?

If you could provide some information on this event, that would be great, thanks.

There is a small problem.
How do you test a TQ event without doing it on TQ.
They obviously will have done QA testing, but TQ as an environment is unique and weird things interact.

Basically, us

CCP doesn’t have a QA department, there have been simply too many messups and avoidable issues over the years to suggest that they have people for that.

Regardless of the outcome it sure was a hell of a hotbed for “PvPvE”, as Bjorn Bee called it, for the entire time it existed. Alot of people – young and old took part in the fighting and excitement generated in Raravoss. From an engagement standpoint I think it brought a refreshing change of pace. I don’t think anything like this has ever been done.

Reminded me of watching the RnK video where they were running the first incursions in Null and getting dropped by another combat fleet and frantically trying to do both high level PvE and PvP simultaneously.

It’s not always good to have all the information ahead of time. Figuring things out as you go, helping or hunting those around you, not knowing what is coming through the next transition is pretty cool. This is emergent and we can each take part in our own way.

Thankyou CCP – for trying something different.

Damn! Look at that:

This is a company that recently failed to make a single-purpose skill point item work. They don’t do testing.

In plain language: it is a ■■■■■■■■■■■.

The most emergent part was CONCORD appearing. :joy: :ok_hand:

It’s the second best Lord Malderor quote -
“Should we align to any gate?”
“No… We fight.”

It was pretty much that. High end pve while doing pvp at the same time. It was real fun.

The last two fortress systems I was in, unless it got patched recently, had nothing left to indicate anything ever happened there. No beacons, no observatories, no sec status increase, nothing to show for all the work. If you are in the system, the Trig hacking the system name still showed tho… :man_shrugging:
