Stealth audio changes?

Since last week’s extended downtime/patch I noticed a dramatic lessening of the pop sound when someone warps into, or out of, my ship’s vicinity. I’ve spent a couple hours fiddling with the advanced audio settings to try to fix this. It turns out the sound is almost exclusively under “Ship Effects”.

First off, previously I never fiddled with the advanced settings, ever. Most of my changes to the sound system have been unchecking audio enabled. So did this suddenly change for anyone else over the last week?

Secondly, “Ship Effects”? Not “Jump Activation”? The following post from 2017:
