I have never had anyone who came after me in any area of space ever cross that line into wishing me real life harm, at least to my face. That applies to gankers, lowsec pirate corporations or small gangs, NPSI fleets, wardeccers, enemy nullsec alliances or whatever else has come to shoot at me or my space assets. I have seen, though, plenty of people cross that line when they lose a mining or hauling ship, and that evidence guides my opinion on which class of players are responsible for the most line crossing.

I’ve been in the Why Was I Ganked channel for months and have never ever seen a ganker wish any player real life harm. Sure, they tease and smack talk and ask for permits to be bought ( which is the primary reason for talking to them ). On the other hand…some of the rants that I have seen aimed at the gankers have been as foul mouthed and abusive as one could imagine, including rl threats and so on. Which is why it irks to see some here twist the whole thing round and make out that it is the gankers who are abusive.

There’s no debate. Take a minute to consider who does the provoking. Anti-ganking is a response to HS ganking. The AG community is defensive while the gankers are offensive. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how that plays out.

Who said anything about AGs? I believe the reference was being made to the carebears who threaten to kill and rape you when you blow up their ships (I’ve had at least two dozen such encounters over my years playing, and I don’t even gank).

last year when my mother died i got onto EvE 2 weeks after the funeral, yeah i was being lazy…i took 6 orca out to an ice field…my alliance had 23 other ppl on it…but 1 guy decided to talk trash about my 6 orca sucking up the belt ignoring the hulks and mackinaws…

When i called him on it telling him i was still on the 1 rock…he told me to drink bleach and kill myself in RL…i wasnt in the mood, so i petioned CCP even sent them a copy of the recent death certificate…to this day i think that persons character is still in the system without NPC stations where i last saw him…and i check occasionally…it hasnt logged in sine that day.

Griefers like Aiko and here fanatics go out of their way to stir up that response though. They’ve spent years carefully refining how to push peoples buttons, what works, what doesn’t and what provokes the most extreme responses.

Aiko is relatively new to EVE LOL.

I always curious about why this capsulers gank orcas, if you check zkilloboard usually the ORCA drop its 10 to 50 millions only but they need to spend up to 80M in ship for get the kill. Its have no sense.

Its an interesting behaviour because after the ORCA pop, one of the gankers paste the orca zkill related in the help channel, hope @ccp @ISD guys explain if thats the purpose of rookie and help channels.
