'Cause it’s easy fun
good bait, haven’t seen a decent one in a while
Well you know stupid games and winning stupid prizes… This player wants to moan and cry about getting blown up by other players in a PVP game. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel at this point.
Have you tried uninstalling the game? It will be significantly harder to lose your ship if you no longer have the client installed to fly it.
You see, the think is I did report it. They told me to post here. So I guess no one cares.
I get it, but not everyone wants to deal with PvP. If that’s your thing, fine, but it’s frustrating to just try to explore and constantly get ganged up on for simply existing in the area. Sure, it might fit the “spirit of the game,” but it completely disregards basic decency. That’s exactly why I suggested adding a feature—so those who want to act like jerks can stick to ruining each other’s day instead of everyone else’s.
You do know this is EVE? Right? Getting shot at is just something one learns to either shoot back or run away faster. That is what makes this game stand out from other games. You are literally not safe anywhere at any moment of time when you undock.
I am not much on PVP myself, but accept the risks that I can and will be shot at. I had to make a run into nullsec last night.
I got to where I wanted to be just fine. Coming back was a little harry. Chased through one gate and then to a station. Waited the player out and then made a run to the gate. Was chased again. Lost that one by someone else dropping on the grid on him/her. Managed to make it to my home station without getting blown up. All for a bloody skill book… LMFAO
EVE Online: A Game for All Playstyles
EVE Online is a sandbox built to accommodate diverse playstyles, from PvE enthusiasts to hardcore PvP players. Dismissing players who prefer non-PvP content with comments like “play a different game” overlooks the very essence of EVE’s design.
The game thrives on its balance of activities—mining, mission-running, industry, exploration, and more—each contributing to the ecosystem. Non-PvP players drive the economy and supply chain, fueling the conflicts PvP players enjoy.
EVE isn’t just for combat lovers; it’s for anyone who wants to make their mark in New Eden. Every playstyle is valid and contributes to the game’s richness, proving there’s room for everyone in this vast universe.
And if those “PvE players” had no risk, everything they did would be worth very little and botted/afked to hell and back. Bad miners getting ganked makes the good miners earn more isk. Also this smells of chatGPT.
Such a feature has been suggested many times, by many carebears. And even if you ignore the fact that such an idea would basically eliminate non-consensual PvP which is a core part of Eve, it would be abused to all hell. Imagine having to deal with an enemy scout that game mechanics prohibit doing anything about. Or what if you spend a bunch of ISK anchoring an athanor in your sov, only to have some carebear waltz in and start mining your moon ore with T2B crystals while giving you the finger and being immune to PvP?
Why can’t i create and share music?
That’s a play style available in many other mmos
What about grouping together for silly minigames?
Eve isn’t for all play styles. It facilitates and caters to a large variety sure. But at its core eve is a game about player conflict. That’s always been the goal. Every aspect of the game is, in one form or another pvp.
So yes it’s perfectly reasonable to tell someone who objects to the very foundation of a game, that they may want ti to find another one.
Imagine going for a walk at night and you got like mugged
What a complete disregard for basic decency.
If you don’'t want to ‘deal with pvp’ then this is not the game for you. End Of Story, Full Stop, Period.
You can learn how to avoid it. Mostly by mastering the dark arts of D-Scan, being aware of your surroundings and paying attention to Local Chat (if local starts filling, then your chances of engaging in PvP rise).
People have been suggesting some form of pvp-toggle since roughly May of 2003. It’s never been implemented. It should never be implemented and should it ever be implemented then a vast majority of the player base will be rather upset.
I say again: YOU EXPLICITLY CONSENT TO PVP IN ALL AREAS OF SPACE WHEN YOU CLICK THE UNDOCK BUTTON!
@Orion_Jorvik You’re right, nobody likes bullies.
You wanna know why they’re bullies? Because they’re so ugly that no girl would give them the time of day. Have you noticed that bullies always bother the nice good-looking guys?
Jealously is probably the ugliest behavior in humans.
As i said earlier in this post you’re consenting to pvp before you undock.
You always consent when you log in. And there are several actions you can take to consent to pvp when you’re offline
the day something like this is implemented is the day the game dies. don’t bring your toxic SJW ■■■■■■■■ here and try to change the game that so many of us have enjoyed because of the thing you are complaining about. Welcome to EVE care bear. Get good.
Is it true? Am i actually good looking?
What’s with the random pictures you keep posting?
