Anyone tell me about station fighters , how much control do you have of them , how far from the station can they go .
I ask because I saw two groups flying around a gate the other day , how effective are they, do they compare with drones or carrier fighters and can you assign them to people.
I never manned structures before, but they can case a target through a solar system. So while you can’t have a gatecamping citadel, they can chase a target to a gate.

I also haven’t used any but as far as I know, they can move in the same way as regular ships. This includes orbiting, approaching, flying in a direction, etc.
Person in the command seat of the citadel always controls all of them and they won’t attack anything automatically.
