Sudden drop in CPU capacity - can no longer fit original fit outs (in-game)

Hello

Newbie here returning after many many years and need some help and assistance.

Recently I purchased a pack including omega. I was able to fit out my ships perfectly as to how I want them.

When my omega expired I purchased another pack including omega. However, it looks like my CPU capacity has suddenly dropped and my rigs can no longer include all the components I originally had first time around.

I am training CPU management lvl 5 now, but surely my rigs should still work?

Any advice on how I can get back to the original CPU capacity so I can use my ships as fitted out first time around?

Am I missing some form of skill or something?

Are you sure nothing else in the fit changed?

An easy way to make up for lack of CPU is to use ‘compact’ versions of some modules. If you had done that the previous time and now are using non-compact versions that may explain why they’re not fitting now.

Another thing I can think of is that you used an ‘Expert system’ in the past, which temporarily boosted some skills including fitting skills. That may explain why you could fit the ship back then but not now.

Training CPU management to level 5 is a good idea to fix it, there are a couple more fitting skills that could help you get more PG or CPU to play with: Fitting skills - EVE University Wiki

And like I said, if there are any ‘compact’ meta versions of modules you use now you could fit your ship that way.

Definately sure nothing has changed on the fit. I will have a look at compact versions and see how far it will go.

I think you are right in the ‘Expert System’ - i bought an industrial pack that included omega and somehow being new I did not understand what the expert system did. How do I see what skills are affected?

you should be able to search that expert pack and look at what it entails without buying it again…

which ship is it you were fitting?

so i searched for the mining barge expert system, assuming thats the one you are referring to…

these are the skills that are “boosted” by the expert system, which when you use an expert system, it allows you to actually train these skills as you are flying the ships… These are temp skills for only a week until you actually train them
