Another thing that I haven’t seen discussed is alliances taking accountability and discouraging excessive ganking for the overall good of the game instead of relying on CCP to restrict them. Players have the power as well.
why would any alliance that isn’t a bunch of losers restrict ganking.
if you’re not friendly to me of course you should be shot.
I agree that your enemies should be gankable because that is some sweet revenge, but ganking random players trying to explore the game should be discouraged by corps and alliances. It’s totally optional of course but a necessary culture to sustain the game as a whole. Otherwise, we all lose as new and older players get fed up and quit the game till the player population drops to 1,000.

I’d say you have that the wrong way around, besides why not gank the gankers , after all most ganker are ice miners or something like that .
They don’t like people standing up to them , take Uedama almost a freighter safe haven now. All talk and very salty
The last two times I was “ganked” it was by blasted NPC anti-bot machines in a high sec asteroid belt and by an Edencom Super gun.
When I’m ganked by actual players it ain’t fun, but I know it IS fun for someone and that’s Eve. Killed by non-mission NPC’s in High Sec for no good reason has no balancing fun for anybody. That is, unless you’re a sadistic Duhveloper.
Yep. In the real world you don’t walk to the grocery store wearing the crown jewels. In Eve you avoid being juicy, but if you want to be juicy, you have to be careful and wise. I mean, what’s wrong with flying a wreathe well. Hardly worth ganking unless you’re carrying expensive stuff and if you are, you better be fitted for quick align time. Sounds like fun to me.
