Suicide ganking is way too low risk, change my mind

So 5 years for killing someone in an 0.5, and then another 5 for every higher security status system? I made a chart to help guide the developers:

Murder in Highsec Punishments Schedule

0.5 - 5 Years
0.6 - 10 Years
0.7 - 15 Years
0.8 - 20 Years
0.9 - 25 Years
1.0 - Life

Will this satisfy you?

No, I’m not, not because it’s about forbidding gankers (as much as I’d like to) from doing what they do, but about creating a system that is fair to every player.

Why would your concord standing be repairable with TAGs indefinitely, but my negative faction standing wouldn’t?

Because it benefits her. That’s the long and short of it.

Indeed.

This is true.

Please explain why you are losing faction standing while killing people in low sec.

That’s a question CCP should address. My other alt is in Minmatar FW, and if you kill others outside of FW, you get a faction standing loss.

I’m glad you agree with us

All new bros should copy this guy as he seems to have a good understanding of the game.

In the past I took this mentality to the extreme, myself and a few others used to rat as a group in NPC 0.0 using T1 destroyers earning a lot, it was difficult to pin us down due to our speed and bookmarks within an asteroid belt. After a few hours of chasing cheap ships they might get one of us if they are lucky but most of the time we didn’t even have to replace our cheap ships.

Too many are putting the isk/yeild per hour ahead of basic safety, forget the per hour nonsense and get a low value ship, be sure to earn more than the ship is worth before it gets destroyed and then slowly increase the amount spent on the cheap as your assets grow.

Well, if your Alt is the Minmatar FW that would explain it, but that information wasn’t given by the time im commenting.

Nooo.. You must be sent to the Klingon penal colony of Rura Penthe, and live on boiled slime worm while you mine dilithium crystals 18 hours a day.

You can’t compare hotdropping and suicide ganking. You show up in a Dominix 3-4 systems away from a deployed Rorqual with a mining fleet - you are a direct threat. Of course you are going to get dealt with in the fastest and the most effective way. Ganking targets are not direct threats to anyone. Most of them can’t even fit any offensive modules.

For context, this was in our home area. We had an enemy ā€œEVE is my lifeā€ multiboxer with 20+ accounts that were logged in 16 hours a day. At all times he would have a 5~6 covert cyno frigates deployed into various systems. It was nearly impossible to do any form of content without getting dropped on by 15 Redeemers.

I think hotdropping with capitals, while still a punch down mechanic, is less of a problem because they have to siege in place to to anything. Meaning there’s a chance to counter attack and escalate. Where as black ops battleships can simply warp off, cloak, and then wait to jump back.

A multiboxer with 15 Redeemers is really squishy, since he can’t coordinate them fast enough. He did it in your space because he knew you don’t know how to counter him (judging by your story, he was right). There are many parts of space where he would just be a very juicy target.

For clarity I don’t think all fifteen Redeemers were just him. Probably more like 4~5, and the others were sig buddies.

But you are right in that more could have been done to punch back. Unfortunately, any time I brought up such a suggestion, it was shot down. Usually by claim that spies would simply tell him about the plan, and thus the bait would be wasted, or they’d simply rage ping for more droppers to N+1 us to death.

I would write something meaningful… but it can reduce amount of targets while I’m flying from Jita to home system with a mood to suicide on the way back… and let happy players to loot my T2 modules… and others (maybe not that happy) will study the lesson. Sad that no one is paying for such good lessons, so I’m doing it from my personal wallet, but I hope it helps.

Maybe CONCORD should call the local police office to visit that pilot in person? Her/His computer should be confiscated, bank accounts arrested and person should be transferred to the CONCORD owned prison where victim will be able to visit that rude pilot once a week to check that ganker is punished and be sure that no one will touch his 2K EHP ship with 20B in cargo while doing autopilot in high sec.

If losing the ship you have undocked in EVE trashes your day or week then you are doing it wrong.

As the vidoe confirms.
