Yeah, because one is absolutely easy, the other one was almost impossible back then. That is why CCP changed it.

There are a few things you can do.
Flashy red/yellow canât tether anymore.
Scan down Their safe spots and, warp in and smartbomb the lot in a BC (itâs hilarious) .
That said I get for new and existing players itâs a negative off putting experience. Sadly the only way the griefers learn is when the game shuts down due to players leaving for better experiences elsewhere.
The whole âyou should be playing like I doâ is just control freak tendencies seeping out into the non real world. If the game didnât have set spaces for PVP and Non PvP activities then griefers would have a valid argument, but Eve does have set spaces, some folk just canât stand the idea that there are people who dont want to play with them and would rather avoid them in game and in RL. We are sadly waiting on these Johnâs and a Jamesâs of the world to get that idea into their heads.
If it comes to the point that too many players leave due to these interactions causing the game to shut down I guess CCP will only have themselves to blame. I hope it doesnât come to that but who knows .
So basically âdoing wrongâ encompassing having a good PVE fitting is just like saying âyou canât have nice thingsâ.
The problem with that is people want nice things, thereâs nothing wrong with that .
So why canât you accept them having a nicely fitted ship ?
I mean yeah if someone flys a âbling shipâ into low or Null they are fair game but high sec nah.
Shows a lot about RL tendencies tbh being the kid who breaks the other kids new toy out of jealousy that you donât have one of your own , of scratching the flash car with a key because you have to take the bus.
There are more people in âbling shipsâ than griefers, if these people all leave the game it shuts down due to lack of players.
I donât judge anyone for flying a blingship in HS. Let them. But them putting a big fat crosshair on their backs is simply logical in a full loot PvP game. If you want to be an awful target, fly non-blingy, mobile, with lots of eHP. You canât have both: blinging your toy out to the death and flying unchallenged by gankers. Make a choice.
If you canât do that because you somehow believe âbut I have every right to fly totally blingy in HS and everyone should leave me alone!!!1111â - you simply picked the wrong game to play. There are single player titles that allow you to do exactly that.

Itâs a game.
A better comparison would be that I block your longest road in a game like Catan, or that I take your Knight with one of my pieces in a game of Chess.
By playing EVE youâve chosen to play a competitive game and people can block you or take your pieces as part of that game.
There also are cooperative games, sometimes itâs more fun to play those games if youâre not in the mood for backstabbing or other competition.
Anyone who flies a bling ship is fair game.
I usually donât fly bling ships because of that, itâs cheaper and more effective to keep the ship cost-efficient. But sometimes flying bling can be fun, so I wonât tell you you shouldnât do that, just that if you do so youâre going to get chased in this competitive game you decided to play.
People love it when others have nicely fitted ships. And if you fly well you may even get to keep the nicely fitted ship!

After having sat on a gate for multiple hours im not sure id agree, annoying yes; i mean who doesnt want to ap 10bil around in a frigate and not get poppedâŚ
See this is what it boils down to, âitâs a PVP gameâ.
Does PvP exist in eve ? Yes
Does unrestricted PVP exist in all areas of Eve ? - nope.
Are there specific areas designated for PvP play ? - Yes low sec , null, pochev , WH.
Is high sec a place for PVP? - only with a war dec. anything else just go to the 4 places above instead.
Greedy child syndrome from griefers , they want it all. They will kill their own game to get it

You are wrong here, which makes every conclusion you pull out of that null and void. And if you insist on it, itâs a waste of time to keep debating with you. Ganking always was a part of HS gameplay and it is intentional in the game, made this way by the developers. If they had wanted to stop it, they could do it with the snip of a finger. But they donât want to stop it.
So, accept that gankers are using a valid gameplay method to force PvP on others, or go look for another game.

could they fix it ? Or is it more that doing so now would cause grater issues? Remember Greifers are a minority, if you all quit tomorrow the game would go on
Itâs part of the game, like taking pieces in a match of chess or shooting someone in a round of Battle Royal. Get used to it. They will - of course - not remove it, else they could have done in the last 20 years with ease.

When I hear a Dev actually state they wont or cant remove it ill believe you , but right now your bias is showing

Go fly your bling ship in safety in Exordium if you donât want to run the risk of âillegal attacksâ, which in high sec very intentionally are part of the game.

The very act of undocking is the act of agreeing to PvP. It is your signature on the agreement. Thereafter, nobody needs your âconsentâ. You already consented. That is how EVE is and has always been. If you cannot accept that, then EVE is the wrong game for you and you should go play Farmville. OhâŚand can I have all your stuff.

Itâs a delusional ego problem. People get ganked and canât handle the reality that itâs because of their own incompetence. So they have to create a myth of UNFAIR PLANE. The idea that what happened was legitimate gameplay would imply that they are bad at the game.
