Straw men are for people who know that their true point doesn’t really have a leg to stand on, so they deflect. 500 posts of ‘who are you ?’. Posts quibbling over whether new players are ‘noobs’. Anything to avoid the weakness of their own arguments.

Im responding to the OP… too much to read. Im bored but not that bored.
You say the amount of ganking has got out of hand but IM not sure if i see this when it comes to highsec trade routes. I do notice the ganking 100% but it seems to be really healthy for everyone. I mean sure… we lose a guy who flew 10b in a charon with expanders every so often but cmon bro… he needed to die. When you fall on your face, get back up fast!
Suicide ganking is low risk? That Tornado they used to blindly pop a covert hauler was 80m minimum. The sec status loss needs to be handled… they also provide much needed content and danger. Most of them dont really make anything special but a few are doing well. Nothing wrong with that. I do agree that the losses are too much on the side of the pilot in the freighter due to the price of his ship specifically…but try it yourself. I challenge you to create something as memorable as The Code.

I worked out that the average T2 Catalyst gank costs ( assuming one wants to stay above -5 status ) at least 25m ISK per char, when you throw in clone tag costs, Concord fee, etc. So one is actually talking about 125m ISK for a 5 man fleet. Ironically a ganker group would have to mine, haul, have all the BPOs, etc, to reduce that figure.
Or have alts to do that bit without the inherited restrictions that come with the sec status loss ?

I question just how much Kage ( or any of the others who rant against ganking ) genuinely even cares about the game as much as they like to make out. I guess forum virtue signalling is just another form of PvP for them.
Here’s the thing. They rant about people being ‘put off’ EVE…people leaving, etc. But never once in their supposed analysis do they ever stop and ponder whether their own eternal ranting and negativity puts people off EVE. Never once do they ponder how much they have poisoned the well and put off people who don’t want such negativity.
There’s the true irony of it all. What if Kage & Co have actually put more people off EVE than any number hat they are pretending to rescue ?
Firstly there is no hate. That’s a very strong emotion that requires a lot of effort. I’d not expend that much energy.
Secondly I’ve been active on the forum for roughly a month now tops so this “years” timeline is rather odd .
I post or Comment and as if by magic the usual suspects pop up in a frantic scramble. If it wasn’t so amusing I’d find it creepy, but again I’m the one doing the harassing apparently, it’s ironic.
That said we are going off topic again so best get back to that or the person with the Dell will get angry in the garage 
Its really quite hilarious the paranoid way that anyone who responds to your nonsense is accused of ‘following you around’ to harass you. I mean…that gives away a good deal about you and your victim mindset. Its OK for you to rant at every available opportunity, responding to all and sundry, yet somehow if anyone responds back they are ‘following you around’ and harassing you.
I rest my case.
In honestly I care a great deal or if simply not bother to share opinions on here . All should feel welcome and I think it’s partly the duty of any game or hobby for the more experienced players to pass on advice and encourage people to stay and learn.
Ganking in itself is possible and as I’ve stated in the other thread the main discussion point is centred around if it was an intended feature or not, but as I’ve said there it’s probably best we agree to disagree on that part.
What I find distasteful and believe is a hindrance to the retention of the player base is the aftermath of abuse and trolling that follows the act of ganking by some(but not all) parties.
Accountability for that behaviour seems to be a problem for some and they instead wish to paint themselves as a victim in order to avoid it .
When it’s the same few people it’s quite an easy case of pattern recognition to apply .
Some simply don’t like accountability, I can’t help them on that .
Does anyone else not think that all of these threads with thousands of posts with the same guy saying the same thing over and over again is not odd enough? Why is this happening

Like I swear to God I’ve logged into game twice in the last 24 hours and this guy has been there to greet me both times on two different characters. That’s f****** insane. CCP you better be protecting our personal information. This will be a lawsuit LOL.
