Support Tickets

So what is the actual point of submitting a Support Ticket?

I submitted one (2601560), I got a response telling me to clear my game cache, I did so, I let them know it did not fix the issue.

No further response received, not even an acknowledgement that my response had been received.

Is it a pointless exercise trying to get CCP to provide what I have paid for?

Just replying to the ticket is you confirmation that it has been received. If it wasn’t you’d not be able to see it in the ticket history if you reload page.

If it’s something community might have an answer for maybe describe what your issue is, we certainly cannot help without knowing that at least.

  1. As I stated there was no response/acknowledgement when I informed them that their “fix” did not work

  2. The issue is something that should be available to me in the NES is not available. Doubt if anyone in the community will be able to help with that. I was really only wondering if Support Tickets were worth bothering to submit

Can you be more specific?

Something that should be in the NES for me to collect as of a Wednesday morning was not/is not there.

Not something anyone in the community can do anything about.

Only fix can come from CCP as it is their issue.

Items in the NES is not specific to just you, so any item that was/is/should have been in the store, should also have been for most/everybody else.

You still haven’t told what that one thing was/is.

What it was/is is none of your business.

Probably the weekly free 15k SP. Always refreshes Tuesday night.

In that case it depends if the account was omega at least the whole day before it, better two. The exact timeframe the account needs to be at omega before tuesday is not public knowledge i think…i just know from experience that if you activate at least after downtime on monday it is too late…possibly this is also valid for the time from midnight on sunday.

I don’t have exact measures, i just found it corellates with the activation of omega and that there is a needed day or two in advance. Anyway, it is just 15k skillpoints…i never felt this is of any importance to do a ticket if i didn’t get them. There is just so many daily login stuff and events going on, that i couldn’t be bothered to care for not receiving 15k skillpoints, even if i wanted to. Heck, i could be making isk instead of writing this post and receive more than 15k skillpoints for the time invested if i convert it to a percentage of a skillbooster pack that i could have added those isk to.

It’s unlikely the 15k SP as clearing cache would not have any effect on that.

From what I can gather, the issue is that OP purchased something either in NES, on the website, or on a partner’s website, and the item(s) did not appear in the Redeem Items. Again, this cannot be fixed with a simple Clear Cache.

A few immediate thoughts do come to mind:

  1. The purchase did appear in Redeem Items and OP just forgot (s)he already claimed them (possibly because redeem’d item(s) are directly applied to account/character),
  2. The purchase did not complete and OP did not notice the failure,
  3. OP forgot what (s)he purchased and assumed it disappeared somehow,
  4. Incorrectly described the issue to Support and thus returned an answer that would not resolve the issue.

SKINs, PLEX, Omega Time, Multiple Training Certificate, ReSculp, etc. all goes to the Redeem Items or is applied directly to the Account/Character when purchased.

I’ve had shop purchases finish and pull money from my card, but then nothing gets delivered in-game. You’ll need to contact customer support, they respond pretty quickly for payment issues.

Well your “thoughts” are all assumptions and they are all wrong

Yes, it is an issue of when a subscription renews.

Mine renewed on the Tuesday am (WAST) which when happening in the past has led to the 15k points being available on the Thursday.

On this occasion the points are still not available.

15k points is 15k points, whilst not an issue to you that’s you and not me.

The main issue and the actual original question was and still is “What’s the point of submitting a Support Ticket?”

Thank you for taking the time to actually answer my question.

Appreciate it

The point of submitting a ticket is for issues that you can’t solve yourself to get help with by customer support. To check if they received your reply, you can check the ticket and see if it is there.
However reaction times are not the best - something which CCP is known for unfortunately. You can expect a few days in the worst case, but eventually they will react and solve your problem if they can acknowledge it. You can also ask for ticket escalation if you are not satisfied with the reaction.
