I wish CCP would update the Stations in the systems like they did Jita… We need a bit more varity with different designs and when you dock it should also get a overhaul.
I know it would take time re-designing some of the stations but i really would like some of the graphics updated!
@Jian_Mira I agree. NPC station interiors leave a ton to be desired.
Just to be contrary, i will take the position of standardizing the stations. Make them box like in appearance and just keep the names different.
The main problem with that is CCP always goes way overboard with their implementation of it, shoving a ton of useless graphic items into it that would even cause NASA computers to melt down.
Most players don’t have the money to buy the latest top of the line gaming computers every couple of years so all it would do is cause most players to run the game on low settings. Eventually over time due to more graphic updates those players would lose interest in the game and leave…
Bottom line is people were able to play this game reasonably well on a 10 year old computer. Now people have to buy a new computer every couple of years just to be able to play this game reasonably well.
This isn’t true. If you’re buying a new computer every two years, you’re doing something wrong. I could easily build a custom PC using 6 year old parts that would run on max graphics settings. It wouldn’t be 4k, but it would be lag free. Every 2 years just to run reasonably well? No. This game isn’t that intensive at all.
My CPU is 6 years old. My GPU is almost 3 years old and it only cost me about $350. I’ve got three 4K monitors and I’m running everything at max settings. I can stream movies, have other big games running, and video capture my Eve Online session all without the slightest bit of lag. My computer was built and upgraded a piece at a time as I could afford it.
I bought my computer in 2016 for 399€ and it runs EVE Online at max settings without a hitch.
Don’t really care what you say, I’ve been playing this game for well over 16 years and in order to keep up with all the bloat that CCP keeps adding to the graphics, players have to have a fairly new computer.

Which claim are you trying to make?
You started out by saying you had to replace your computer every two years just to play this game reasonably well. You then stated that this game can’t be played on max settings with a 10 year old computer (which is true).
You’d need an 8 year old computer to play on max settings with a 1k monitor.
Gawd, some of you people are really dense and just can’t understand what a generalized embellished statement actually is…

I’m going to throw in my support for new Station Overhauls. We need them. Space Stations are grand designs and they deserve better. It would be amazing to see them with new textures and designs!
We should get a complete docking animation without cut.
The ideal is manual docking like in X-4 but we can only dream of it.
Amarr, Dodixie, Rens, Hek… yes. I think it would be cool to have the historic trade hub stations look somewhat different than the default models at least.
Doesn’t have to be as an extreme overhaul as Jita, but you could add some modular bits and pieces, giving a unique silhouette.
Sure, why not - it’s not like it’s going to encourage more use, but at least it will be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
And for Pete’s sake get rid of all the damn billboards. It’s supposed to be a station dock, not the red light district.
Unless it’s Jita 4-4.
