Please consider improving the Miasmos and Kryos hold tool tip to include what they can hold.
Both have a ‘This is a tooltip’ type message, doesn’t add any detail. Search for everything doesn’t show what a mining is, or what a mineral is.
<url=showinfo:654>Kryos - says ‘Mineral hold’. Doesn’t show what are minerals. ‘The total volume that can be stored in the mineral hold’. No idea what a mineral is if you are new.
<url=showinfo:656>Miasmos - says ‘mining hold’. What is a mining hold. Currently lists ‘The total volume that can be stored in the mining hold’. Doesn’t list what’s included in a mining hold, just that it is one.
<url=showinfo:651>Hoarder - Same for gas, ammo is unspecified as well really, but better.
<url=showinfo:655>Epithal - Planetary Commodities the same, command center is better.
<url=showinfo:81008>Squall does this VERY well. i’ve included it in the screenshot.
I think the reason the Squall shows such a long list is necessity.
A ‘mineral’ hold is simple and clear in it’s purpose as it holds just a single category of things: minerals.
The ‘infrastructure’ hold on the other hand is frankly a convoluted mess of a noncoherent list of things that nobody has a complete idea of what it holds. Fuel, moon products, structure cores, planetary industry goods… and many more things I don’t even recall.
If you think about it, the mineral hold of the Kyros already has the same level of detail as the Infrastructure hold tooltip has. The only difference is that the Mineral hold only has a single category of items while the infrastructure holds a long list of many categories.
The Kryos’ tooltip may not explain what minerals are, but neither does the infrastructure hold explain what ‘refined ice products’ are, or does the Hoarder’s ammo hold explain what ‘ammo’ is.
The tooltips just tells us the categories of items it can hold and it’s up to players to figure out which items fit in those categories.
I would be fine with it being put in the description instead if wanted. Right now, i know it’s a lot of flavor text, but making it clear it’s for huge amounts of tritanium would be good.
