T2 Bowhead

Would love to get a T2 Bowhead with jump drive

Bigger SMA than Carrier

Smaller SMA than Supers

Carrier?

Bowheads exist so that people can move ships in bulk in high security space, where jump drives aren’t allowed.

After all, outside high security space people can move ships in bulk in any of the capital ships like a dread, fax, super, titan or the carrier that Dyver mentioned above. All of these ships already have a jump drive.

Personally I love the carrier as ‘T2 Bowhead’ to move my stuff, with a ship maintenance bay the same size as a Bowhead (2 million m3) and a jump drive these ships are perfect for the role.

And if you ever need to move your stuff into HS, what’s wrong with a Bowhead?

but he dont have carrier skills only Jumpfreighters V and he dont want to train into carriers…. ( only assumptions but thats the vibe )

Jump drives are allowed in high-sec.

but not for incoming jumps ! yes the reason is that you cant use cyno but he just said it way easier to understand.

Outgoing, yes.

Not into or within high sec space. So CCP added the Bowhead so you can still transport ships in a SMB within high sec even if capital ships and cynos are banned.

T2 Bowhead bigger SMA than Carrier but less than Supers

That wouldn’t follow Jump Freighter design though.

T2 jump freighters get a jump drive, but have a far smaller cargo hold in return than regular T1 freighters. Both ships are valid options with different roles.

If T2 Bowheads would be consistent with other designs in EVE, i.e. not totally superior but trading cargo for more mobility like JFs, they would have a smaller hold than T1 Bowheads, not larger. You get a jump drive for it after all!

I’d rather use a Carrier.

would agree if they are called capitals and dont allow to enter HS

otherwise this :

Bowheads already are bigger than a carrier and less than a super. If you can’t move it all in one trip, just make more trips or have another hull/pilot help you. The only time I’ve felt like I’ve needed more room is when dealing with corporate levels of scale, in which you should be receiving help from your corpmates.
