Do they function as regular BPOs meaning you can use them to build, research, and make copies of them?
BPO’s, yes. BPC’s no.
T2 BPO’s are exceedingly rare and expensive. The lottery for them was ended I’d say probably 15 years ago, if not longer.
yes. they function like T1 BPOs in all respects.
when, on the rare occasion, they come on the market, they are very, VERY expensive. it would probably take over a decade to get a return on that investment.
they were handed out in a lottery ~15+ years ago. those who scored Ishtar or Saber BPOs (as an example) have made squillions.
i know a few people with desirable T2 BPOs, those are kept in an NPC station in hisec where they crank out copies 24/7/365.
I can’t imagine why anyone would want to sell one, no matter which BPO it was. Those things are literal gold mines.
they’ve been known to change hands for upwards of 1T ISK.
most people who have them have already made bank, so perhaps they’re just tired of cranking out copies.
i daresay a sizeable number of them are in the hands of the major blocs.
Yeah, thats probably the reason we can’t get rid of them.
T2 bpo money priinting is severly over exaggerated. Nowadays they are collectibles that generate some return (Very small compared to actual price).
Dont think of them like a typical BPO that you work to get your initial isk back
Think of them like an AT ship that can sit in an NPC station generating passive income in 100% safety.
@syzygium As for “Removing them” What purpose would that serve? If I had to guess id say Invention accounts for 95%+ of all T2 produced items in the game.
You run Kyoko mark right? You must be swimming in T2 BPOs.
Right now my goal is to acquire one, I’ll probably start off with one of the cheaper ones like Void S or Rockets and work my way up.
