I have been farming anomalies in high-sec space for a couple of weeks off and on, and have had a few escalations open up. First two were in high-sec space so not an issue but the last two have been in low-sec, 0.4 to be exact. The one I have open right now is my first 5/10 as the previous were 4/10.
I am very nervous about taking my Gila into low-sec and getting popped. I am not big into PvP at all.
The last escalation I did fine with no issues but had some odd things happen where 3 different occasions while I was fighting 3 different players warped in on me, then warped out without scanning or lacking in on me (to my knowledge).
So I am wondering if people generally give a wide berth to the Gila, and also do yāall think my fit will be sufficient for the DED Complex āGuristas Hallucinogenic Supply Waypointā?
I have a tractor to pull in loot during combat since a drone module in that slot goes over the CPU.
I have plenty of ISK to rebuy this exact Gila fitting a few times over, but still nervous about getting popped in it. It has served me nicely the last week or so.

Use a cloaky stratios or t3. I used to use a cloaky enforcer for scout outposts in caldari space. Just make sure you use d scan for combat probes and never run ded sites that are scannable only personal ones.
Also forgot to mention depending on the sites you run you can simply bookmark the can or wreck which contain modules of value. Warp out wait 2 mins warp back in after site despawned and you donāt have to kill all the last room.
As for setup for 5/10 tengu or Proteus. I prefer Proteus drone setup as this can have up to 800dps better effective range so you can stay away from the site warp in points if you do get scanned.
local notifications is going to give you away dont forget that. just be aware. mobile depot and pvp fittings if you want to defend. that goes for in high sec too as long as your wiling to lose your ship you can make sure they dont get out alive.
Tengu is a ways off a bit still in training. I will have to keep that in mind later on. Same for Proteus.
Never used a Mobile Depot, no idea what those even are.
Those SoE ships require Amarr ship training, which I have only just begun. Hate to miss out on the current escalation, Wiki seems to indicate a possible Gila BPC as well as several modules that are worth more than my ships.
That gila fit should be fine in low, just watch Dscan.
Also to note is watch system activity, for example faction warfare space will be heavily gate camped.
The mobile depot is one of the most important tools in low and 0.0. Fit for travel, make a safe spot at the destination and change the fitting to PvE mode.
The best course of action if you jump into a camp is to approach the gate with overheated prop-mod and jump out again. The hunters will not be able to follow for sixty seconds. With a burst from a MWD a Gila is robust enough to make it back to the gate unless it is a large camp.
Fighting back is usually futile as the more dedicated campers will often have backup available.
Also bring more spare drones, fill that drone bay.
i donāt know how new you are but always check the map for kills last hour, pilots active in systems etc if your unsure use and alt to jump in and have a look. if your in a pocket in low or null or even highsec tbh learn to check your dscan at 1 au, youāll see ships on the dscan before they use the gate behind you.
iām only back a month or so after many years away so take this advice with a pinch of salt, iām still relearning the game myself.
eve is all about screwing of the other guy imo even if you get escalations in highsec you will get someone trying to snipe that loot off you so learn what you need too kill and when. kil the rat you want to loot and donāt forget to bookmark it before you warp out! yes ā¦ i warped out before marking it! lol
That will work 99% of the time up until you meet a carrier and Arazu on a gate. The carrier decloaks you with itās fighters the Arazu then points and webs you so you canāt even AB back to the gate and escape. Then when the carrier can lock you it kills you.
Iāve not seen that setup before up until recently. From what i saw though it was bloody devastatingly effect. As one guy with 3 alts (3rd cloakie scout in highsec watching gate) was able to kill pilot after pilot all trying to do the MWD+cloak trick.
The carrier and Arazu are cloaked. As you land on the gate and jump into lowsec. He decloaks deploys flighters and has them orbit the gate with their MWD on. As soon as you start to decloak by moving he sends the fighters at you. If the fighters spinning around the gate donāt decloak you, him sending them at decloaks you. The Arazu is also using faction points iām guessing. Because with 4 Warp core stabs on an ishtar i couldnāt warp of. Heās also even fitted with a web so if your dual prop mod fitted you canāt even use an after burner to get back to the gate as your to slow and the fighters kill before you can jump back to safety.
Itās a really clever setup, the person doing this killed my guardian first. Second time i used a scout for my ishtar alt. Gate looked clear so i jumped in, by the time my screen loaded into low the carrier and arazu were on grid and i was getting gang banged again. Thatās why iām pretty sure thereās a cloakie scout in high watching the gate to low and the carrier and arazu are cloaked just of the gate waiting.
The sting of loss hurts but it also makes the victory that much better when you win. Donāt let losing a ship discourage you from venturing into low sec again.
