One thing I like about Eve Online market is the sales taxes are paid by the seller and not the buyer. I don’t know how it works in other countries, but here in the states, we pay the sale tax instead of the seller. I always feel this is the wrong end of the stick. The store places items for $10 on the shelf and I have to add 6 cents on the dollar. It will cost me $10.60 for a $10 item. Services rendered is not taxed, but I have ran into service techs who tack it on anyway. I never taxed my services, it wasn’t like the tax man jumped out and said, “Hey! You have to tax those people.”. I always do my own taxes at the end of the year and end up paying about 15% or more on my business. A 11% is a little less than what I shell out in real life.
As others have said, you can avoid corporate taxes, searching the corps who have no tax or making one of your own. I am in a zero tax corp and I get 100% of my rewards.
It wont matter. If the Seller has to pay it in real life, they will just add that on to the price, and you will end up paying the same amount. No half-decent company would ever take a loss on selling a product.
