Of all ships that I’ve flown, two (repeatedly replaced) can truly be described as flagships.
Most recent iterations’ names: GER 429 Terrorgheist and GER 564 Sequitor. Brutix-class battlecruiser and Retribution-class assault frigate, respectively. Both fit with short-range weapons: blasters and pulse lasers.
Home: Previously J211396 - Azmo’s Large Innuendo (first citadel to be anchored by EVE University, Fortizar). Mothballed in Auviken V-5 Caldari Business Tribunal Offices station since I removed my possessions from the citadel in order to establish myself elsewhere in Anoikis, along with several other ships (most common hulls in the mothball fleet being Exequeror and Scythe of a few different fits).
Age: Latest iterations were not particularly old at time of mothballing.
Builder: Nearly all ships which I flew at this time were supplied by a logistician operating in the Fortizar.
Status: Three previous Retributions, two Brutices lost, present ones in mothballs.
Reason for flagship designation: A flagship is, specifically, a ship from which a fleet is commanded. If the fleet commander does not have his flag on a ship, it is not a flagship. My most successful fleet command experience has been in these two ships. Even in the same corporation, other ships from which I commanded did not have the same level of success for a variety of reasons (consistently leading the same people in these ships probably being the main one), and while I have had a bit of command experience in my three corporations since then, I have not had the opportunity to lead any particularly interesting or noteworthy fights since leaving this corporation. There have been a couple of other ships which I’ve flown which would be candidates due to the connection that I’ve felt with them, such as the Drekavac (which was being phased in as the heavy ship of the line when I left this corporation, alongside the Sacrilege which already filled that role, but the heavy line of battle was not flown often enough for me to get a chance to use it before I left, though my next corporation used it as the primary ship of the line). If it was based solely on connection to one particular ship, the Anathema which was the first ship that I brought into and the last ship that I brought out of every system in Anoikis which I have called home (though was destroyed when I had the brilliant idea to undock it from Jita IV-4 where I had been keeping it while Pandemic Horde was subject to CONCORD-sanctioned warfare) would be a candidate, but since I have not commanded anything from it for obvious reasons, it cannot be considered a flagship.
Purpose: Combat operations.
Crew: Currently none.
Favorite moments: Many. My first experience commanding from either of these ships could be considered a standout. After previously fighting POS Party earlier in the day (successfully, though I did not command; I flew an Oracle which was a replacement for one destroyed in battle against my current corporation, Sniggwaffe), they returned with a fleet consisting primarily of Muninns. I led a fleet of assault frigates in order to fight them again. We held the position, they disengaged after losing logistics. If I recall correctly, the last Retribution in this series to have been destroyed was the only loss on our side, on either side of the wormhole where the fight occurred. https://zkillboard.com/kill/78820374/
