Thank you EVE for creating a new couple

On October 3, a newlywed couple from our corporation held their wedding in Huaibei, China. Our corporation also took this opportunity to hold an offline gathering, and on October 3, we formed a group of more than 50 people to go and congratulate them.

This was the first time in our corporation’s history that a gathering exceeded 50 people. It was also the largest offline gathering in the history of the Chinese-speaking EVE community, and the first real case among EVE player groups of a couple who met online and got married offline. All of this gave this gathering a unique color from the very beginning and made it destined to be an unforgettable and extraordinary experience.

Corporation Director 008 coordinated all kinds of matters over the course of a month. The contributions of this great corporation director will be posted as follow-up replies under this thread.

On the evening of the 1st, we first had a small gathering in Xuzhou, China. It happened that FRT held a fleet formation at midnight that day. After dinner, these friends ran off to find a place to form up, having an in-person fleet command session.

On October 2, at a villa in Xuzhou, more of our members arrived at the villa that served as the Xuzhou gathering spot. Everyone gathered together and brought out all kinds of food from their hometowns to share… [Specific foods will be posted as follow-up replies under this article.] This made members of other corporations extremely envious and also strengthened our members’ sense of belonging. We are, after all, friends under one big family.

Time quickly came to October 3. At 9 a.m., everyone boarded a bus from Xuzhou to Huaibei to attend the wedding. The entrance of the bride and groom made the entire livestream erupt…

We have already updated all of this into our corporation’s internal Chaos Chronicle. This record will also become part of the Chaos Chronicle and be passed down forever.

This is what the CEO posted in our corporation’s gathering group after the gathering ended.

@everyone 【Postscript to the October 2026 Xuzhou Gathering!】
The October 2026 9112 & Huaihuai wedding and offline gathering concluded successfully.
This was the first time in Chaos history that a gathering exceeded 50 people. It was also the largest offline gathering in the history of the Chinese-speaking EVE community, and the first real case among EVE player groups of a couple who met online and got married offline. All of this gave this gathering a unique color from the very beginning and destined it to be an unforgettable and extraordinary experience.
Videos and photos will be released one after another later. This time I want to introduce this grand gathering to everyone from a different perspective.
Speaking of this Xuzhou gathering, we have to mention [008]. Since July, 008 had been planning this gathering for the corporation. Throughout July, he traveled all over major party venues and banquet locations in Xuzhou, and only then found this one that could accommodate a 50-person gathering. He contacted seven car rental companies in succession before booking a dedicated bus that could provide pick-up and drop-off during the National Day holiday, taking us to the wedding venue at 9 a.m. and to the station at 1 p.m., so that all of us could board and depart on time. Starting in September, he contacted various merchandise manufacturers countless times to make exquisite souvenirs and venue decorations for this gathering. Starting in August, he was contacting restaurants, transportation, and all kinds of businesses, racking his brains over how to save everyone’s budget. In the end, we managed to book a villa that holds 50 people for 24 hours of fun, book a bus for a 200-kilometer round trip, fully achieve unlimited whole roast lamb, unlimited grilled fish, and unlimited BBQ, and still give everyone one arm patch, one hat, one canvas bag, one medal, and one pillow each. All of this cost less than 500 per person. This is simply a model of thrift and housekeeping. It was also done to fully take into account the real situation of the many student players. In order to let everyone save budget, he even used his personal connections to coordinate the venue for everyone and minimize everyone’s expenses. It can be said that under 008’s coordination, the per-person cost was at least 300 cheaper! Not to mention that he basically advertised once every 3 days, tirelessly DMing every participant, coordinating times and locations, and recommending suitable accommodation and transportation for each person. Considering that tickets were difficult to buy during the National Day holiday, he also actively helped everyone find ways to form groups and carpool, and looked for ticket-grabbing guides.
On the 30th, before the gathering began, he spent his own money to rent a 7-seat Buick business vehicle and made trip after trip between the train station and hotel, picking up and dropping off our brothers, saving everyone money and making them feel the comfort and convenience of home. On the evening of the 1st, 008 again drove to pick up and drop off every brother along the way as much as possible, contacted the boss to reserve tables, find seats, and arrange everyone to sit down one by one. By the evening of the 1st, three tables of brothers had already gathered. Behind this liveliness was 008’s dedication: he did not eat a bite of food or drink a sip of alcohol, and used up two tanks of gas!
On the 2nd, some of our brothers woke up from hangovers, and some arrived from out of town. 008 still got up at 8 a.m. and began picking people up from the train station and various hotels and taking them to the party villa. Some were playing Guandan, some playing mahjong, some singing, some playing billiards, and some ratting on the spot. 008 and Yingzi were picking people up, dropping people off, and buying lunch for everyone. In the evening, countless meat skewers came out like a stream, countless hearty dishes appeared one after another, and two extra-large whole roast lambs were broken down into ten large plates of lamb that filled everyone’s stomachs. But 008 kept running back and forth: one moment organizing group photos, one moment urging the dishes to be served, one moment replenishing drinks, one moment looking after brothers who had drunk too much, one moment helping the boss serve tea and water, and one moment holding a camera to capture wonderful moments for everyone. Late into the night, when everyone was tipsy and warm with wine, 008 was still filming feature interviews for everyone, staying busy until deep into the night.
Time came to the 3rd. At 8 a.m., while everyone was still asleep, 008 had already arrived at the villa with steaming buns, soy milk, and millet porridge. After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill and fully revived, 008 had already called the bus to the villa entrance. The bus delivered 40 people to the wedding venue on time. We saw the spirited groom 9112 and the stunningly beautiful bride Huaihuai. A perfect wedding came to a close amid the cheers of Chaos members, and the gathering also drew to an end. To make it convenient for everyone to catch trains and flights home, 008 temporarily paid extra to coordinate the driver to go 20 kilometers out of the way, taking everyone directly to the Xuzhou East Railway Station transportation hub, saving everyone precious commuting time and energy and ensuring that no one missed anything or was late throughout the entire process.
It can be said that without 008’s full planning, organization, and dedication, this gathering would not have had such a perfect effect, such convenient conditions, such an affordable price, or such generous souvenirs. Therefore, I am especially grateful and have specially written this down, hoping everyone can remember 008’s dedication. 008 is also a perfect embodiment of the Chaos spirit: altruism! As I always say, just go do it, the corporation pays; when you give to others, Chaos remembers! We cannot let 008 pay out of his own pocket. This expense will be reimbursed uniformly. Not only that, 008’s dedication will be recorded, and this record will also become part of the Chaos Chronicle and be passed down forever.
In addition, of course, 008 was not the only one contributing to this gathering. That is definitely not the Chaos style. Almost every participant brought local specialties from their hometowns or their own specialty products, or contributed their own strength to the gathering. Below, I will list them one by one [if anything is forgotten, please DM me as soon as possible, and I will add it in time, preferably with photos] [order is not sequential, purely from memory]:

  1. Yingzi(影子): sponsored 30 boxes of fried chicken, 20 bags of fries, and 2 durians on site.

  2. Lao Tuzi(老兔子): brought special-supply rice from his hometown and Heilongjiang Kaijiang big white fish.

  3. Pingyuan Ze(平原则): stepped up at the critical moment to serve as the groom’s best man, brought his own photography equipment to shoot highlights and record wonderful moments for everyone.

  4. Qingtian(晴天): brought a large plate of blood sausage and a full 30 portions of hometown specialty tea from his hometown, and on site, starting from pounding garlic, made hometown specialty delicacies for everyone.

  5. Fulongzhi(伏龙芝): brought a whole big bag of Yao meat.

  6. Beili(北离): although unable to attend due to scheduling reasons, still asked someone to bring uniquely flavored drip coffee to refresh everyone, as well as 2 large boxes of pineapple cakes; the sweet-and-sour taste was very authentic.

  7. Waiguoren(歪果仁): brought 2 big bags of fragrant meat, so fragrant that everyone was dizzy.

  8. Lao Zhao(老赵): brought the legendary Bawang Zui; with 75% alcohol, whoever drinks it gets dizzy.

  9. Ouou and Maike(欧欧和麦克): specially brought the full set of materials from the last Shanghai gathering, as well as Werewolf.

  10. Kerenbing(欧欧和麦克): brought many packs of Qinghai beef jerky; it was really top-notch.

  11. Shitou(石头): sponsored 60 taro and pineapple pies on site, adding luster to the afternoon tea.

  12. Yan Shanshan(烟闪闪): specially brought 4 big watermelons, which became the ultimate hangover cure after the dinner.

  13. Doc: sent four boxes of canned food, proving that many people are not men—they cannot open cans.

  14. 9112 and Huaihuai(9112和淮淮): prepared 15 jin of lamb and 20 crabs for everyone, fulfilling their duties as hosts.

  15. Zhimei(汁妹): brought 2 full boxes of vinegar cola, a well-deserved dark drink, refreshing and reviving, with a really full flavor!

  16. Yueguang(月光): sent 2 large boxes of corn crisps, the main product of the afternoon tea.

  17. Xiaohan(晓寒): 2 large boxes of salted soda were important drinks for the banquet.

  18. Jiazi(夹子): brought countless memes and famous scenes, as well as meticulous care for drunk members. Pingyuan Ze even threw up on Jiazi’s head, and Jiazi was still taking care of him, afraid something unexpected would happen.

  19. Shuangyuan(霜鸢): thoughtfully brought hangover tea, as well as pomelo and pears, providing a solid foundation for everyone to fully revive.
[The above is what 008 and I tried our best to recall. If anything is missing, please contact me as soon as possible. Don’t be shy. Those who gather firewood for everyone, Chaos will surely lift them above Chaos!]

Below are pictures from the gathering, which are also wonderful moments

There are too many pictures, so I put them in Chaos History. The link is as follows:

I forgot to add one more point: both of them are members of CACX~

Maybe the Amarrian Space Pope could bless your joint endeavor through live stream or something.

This is one of the best posts I have ever read on these forums.

Best wishes to the newlyweds.

And congratulations to you and your fellow players for one of the most heartwarming demonstrations of what EVE players can accomplish when they decide to do something.

One final comment, respect to Corporation Director 008, he’s a leader that shows by example, the very best kind.
