The issue with the t3 battleship is the vast gap is still present, and the capital or bust problem remains. There is a reason why people are forming huge coalition blobs, and why you don’t see many say 200 man alliances owning 1-3 systems in nullsec. Because of the vast difference between a sub-cap and a titan.

Capitals are fun, they are expensive powerful ships, that cause content to emerge wherever they are. However having a super with 20m ehp and a titan with 30m ehp, and having tens of thousands of them in your alliance, means anyone with sub-caps get squashed. And remember, to build supers/titans, you need sov, to hold sov you need supers/titans.

Your in a tight spot for the health of the game.

Well, it wouldnt be present, as these ships would replace capitals entirely. At the EHP you think is suitable, 2-300 EHP. You could easily make the modular nature replicate any capital function you enjoy most, and it would stimulate the economy and cooperation between HS and WH folk.

Ah just got that from your post, “would replace capitals entirely”. In that case that can work, however I believe my proposal would be more popular among the community than a pure capital removal, especially for those who already own capitals and would rather see them severely nerfed rather than deleted.

But your stance would solve the problem.
