Wonders how I haven’t been ganked in any of my 18 chars for getting on for 4 years if its all so dire and I need massive ‘counterplay’.

Do you guys practice posting so much BS…or does it just come naturally ?

He actually uses ChatGPT.

I presume the ‘GPT’ is Gigapixels of Trash.

The usual trolls are putting in overtime to derail this thread.

What exactly has them so rattled?

Don’t worry I’m not using it. I just want to play a video game. :slightly_smiling_face:

In comparison:
“A pro boxer’s hands when used to punch against an opponent inside the ring it’s called game of sports but outside the ring it is considered “deadly weapons” .”

What part of your question didn’t get answered and is still unclear?

Okay, lets talk about being human and what humans do, say, think and feel. The fact that you are here playing a game, by your example, is irrelevant to any discussion because well its not real life. So get off the internet and go outside…

If you want to nit pick at what is real and what is a game go for it. But youll look foolish in the end because you ARE human, like we all are, and ‘what we do in art imitates life, and life imitates art.’ Anything other than this is disingenuous arguments trying to proverbially “win” and argument for arguments sake without actual reasoning or discourse.

Very good point. To counter the Uboat threat in WW1 and WW2 what did the allies do? They formed convoys of ships with armed escorts numerous enough to ensure damage to the Uboat wolfpacks.

The fact that most high sec users cannot or will not do this, that convoys back in the day to null sec from high sec hubs were a common sight, but were a null sec united front initiative speaks volumes.

Even in nature bait balls and numbers guarantee the survival of species but sacrifice the few to predators. But shhhh… cant use real life examples or else its all gotta get in the game.

I’m not for or against suicide ganking… This thread should actually be about Risk verses Reward and Actions verses Consequences pertaining to that topic…

What I am against is the current unbalanced ratio of Risk verses Reward and Actions verses Consequences… Meaning there’s little risk for gaining large rewards and little consequences for big actions…

Now if that wasn’t the case, then this type of gameplay wouldn’t be so prevalent…

Here’s the easy answer to making it more balanced…

Just implement a ‘3 Strike Security Rule’ with the current game mechanics… Meaning after the 3rd criminal flag is gained, that character is branded as habitual criminal with KOS status in High Sec space…

Yeah, it won’t stop suicide ganking in High Sec space but it’ll most likely give the career criminals cause to be more selective with their targets…

Also, remove tags.

No, the security tags stay in the game so characters can repair their criminal status after 1st and 2nd strikes…

However after the 3rd strike, those tags will no longer work due to being branded as a habitual criminal with KOS status in High Sec space…

Good call.

This is Good but mining barge, marauders and faction Battleships should also be banned is highsec.

Sure they can, and many have. It simply takes just a little forethought and effort.

Seriously? Ganking has been a thing in EvE since beta.

This didn’t just start. It’s always been a thing. It used to happen all the time all throughout High Sec. Now it’s pretty easy to get away from it.

The usual meaningless word salad stock phrases in other words.

The risk of Highsec mining is too low.
The reward of Highsec mining is too high.
The risk of Highsec ganking is too high.
The reward of Highsec ganking is too low.
