Did you see my post, eve players (certain), want a static universe, if you present an ideal they hate it, if devs change a pixel, they hate it, I’ve given up, its like dealing with spoiled teens, emo roller coaster, everything must be nerfed, everything must be buffed.

EVE’s new anthem.

It’s especially absurd given that this was released alongside the work on the reload mechanic, which is a huge QoL improvement. I can’t begin to tell you how often I get unreasonably angry when I hit cloak too soon and all my probes/missiles dump back into the hold.

And this just a couple months after Lifeblood, fundamentally changing one of the most deeply consequential parts of the game’s economy. I can’t even begin to imagine how massive the codebase is, how complex the game universe as a whole is, and just how hard it must be to make even minor changes without causing disastrous ripple effects.

I’m glad for the passion the community has, but I wish people had a bit more perspective about minor improvements like this.

Nono, that’s politics. You hide ■■■■ behind something good and let the media distract from the ■■■■ by putting the good into the focus.

Uh-huh?

I’ve got this and i like the EVE allot, but times i cant get in game, but i never insulted the dev. its a electronic error and every living thing is bound to make mistakes we are not perfect.

Well they didnt do a very good job and got it the wrong way around as this was the first I heard about the ancient mechanic changing/

they’re rarely doing a good job nowadays with anything. the poor devs there, really.

I think that was kind of the implication from both of us, ole para me lad.

Im almost convinced at this stage there are no devs, just a few custodians with crib and cheatsheets pretending.

heh

the original devs released a space game… i should check it out sometimes. it might be more cut-throat than EVE nowadays. they, at least, knew how to make a good game.

The bubbles are ■■■■.

This idea was stupid.
Get rid of it, or at least make it an option to turn it off in UI settings.

Now if they had put an icon to go to the character information I would have purred with delight… And as I tend to right click on peoples names to get character information I have not once opened up a convo, however I have had to make sure to avoid the bubble, but hardly something to get so wet and salty over, is it?

I just think its funny they implemented the chat bubbles (even on contacts, corp contacts and alliance contacts) when they in the past have come with statements like this…

"Regarding the Watch List changes, we have no plans to revert them. There are a couple of points we’re not entirely happy with (such as the convo spamming issues and characters that want to be public) that we would like to iterate on. "

What amused me was that when the change went live one guy in corp then convo spammed everyone in corp… But the biggest fun for me is being able to refer to other characters as toons, becase with the speech bubbles it kinda goes pretty well.

Stop creating more threads on it, then.

If people want to leave feedback, they can do so in the feedback thread for the January release.
