Ah, but can you lay claim to have conquered Uedama ? I mean, last night Aiko was so busy running about doing Destiny’s bidding that there was just one Safety member at Uedama. I really missed seeing ‘Gate Cow’ and all the other familiar faces. But it was nice of Aiko to have surrendered Uedama to me.

Why lay claim to a victory in just Uedama, when you can lay claim to a victory in every system Aiko isn’t in at any given point in time?

Trillions is excessive. The current bill is only a few billion ISK.
You are wasting your ISK. Member contributions to the corp every month are many times that.
It’s not a waste of money if I’m getting value for it.
Launching a Fortizar so that your overlord can bring in a blob of his null-sec patrons to destroy it (as he was pleading for me to do) would be a waste of ISK, because I would literally get nothing from it in return.
But this pacifying operation against your alliance has resulted in tangible destruction, so I’m definitely getting something in return for what I’m spending.
I know you’re itching to argue against this almost on some kind of moral opposition level, but it’s true. I paid for a service, and it’s being carried out. Just because you don’t see it worthwhile, doesn’t mean that I don’t also.
Not morals…simple finance. Heck, the 2,500 members of AO only have to give a mere 10 million ISK a month each and that’s 25bn ISK. You may have a trillion, but Aiko can only spend it at a certain rate. And 8 ships destroyed out of the 250 or so AO lost this past week is not exactly a huge portion of the losses. Plus…as we saw today…Aiko can’t spend all her time in Lonetrek as she makes far more from ganking Uedama in one day that you have given her for merc services. That’s why I say you are wasting your money.
If I had 1tn ISK I’d buy up all the Neutron Blasters in Eve…just for the fun of gankers arriving at the stations and finding none there.

When you think about it, none of this matters. EVE is still a game, and 2.5 billion, or 25 billion, or a trillion, it’s all just meaningless text. But the content created is definitely worth something on an intrinsic level. Maybe causing 25 billion ISK in damage to AO is insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but it also got your leader to post in my thread and threaten me with destruction, and that’s something money can’t always buy.
Then the market will recover in a week, and you’ll be stuck eating 20-40% of that in costs as you’d have to dump those items back on the market at below-cost rates. Meanwhile, the gankers would just use T1 stuff and some extra ships for a couple of days. Sounds like a bad move.
